I'd agree that he needed to be more ornate if he were an Astra Militarum or Adeptus vehicle, but honestly, the best thing to compare him to in-universe wouldn't be something blessed by the Mechanicum but something more akin to to the mining vehicles of the GSC, solid everyday working man's STC vehicles. He's pretty great.

Thank you! I wanted my first project to look as good as possible before posting.

Hmm, Interesting prospect. I actually had to look that up! I used to spend most of my time looking into it's lore, Looks like some of it didn't stick inside my noggin. As i'm about to get some more stuff to kitbash onto him, Mainly joints to replace his current set. I've been looking to invest in some Gene stealer vehicles to add onto him! Canonically, I like to think Optimus has just been slapping stuff onto his body to adapt for the current environment, as he actually quite liked his earth mode. If I ever do a full-on scratch build with this concept in mind, I'd go for a mixture between a Goliath truck, and a baneblade.

(also thank you for taking the time to look into my custom!)

If you don't mind my asking, what did you decide on for his replacement joints?

Oh! I bought a crapton of REVOLTECH joints on ebay! Unfortunately they'll be here mid-September. but it'll be worth it.

I don’t really think they all need to be based completely on existing Warhammer designs because this universe that your making seems like an entirely new thing. What I just realized that is interesting to me is that Optimus is like thousands of years in the future and turns into an 80s (kenworth?) semi truck. I guess he maintains it well!

    A quick update..

Optimus' elbows broke, along with almost all the joints on his back. A quick PSA when it comes to scratch-building and kitbashing: Never use Gunpla or Lego for your joints, (with some exceptions.) The plastic isn't exactly made to deal with the weight and tolerances needed for heavier materials. I recommend using REVOLTECH (as been previously stated) Lego's larger ratchet joints, or even other scrap transformers. It'll help you tons in the longrun. I was able to replace all the joints that broke with the glory of spare parts, but I don't know how long they'll last.

Been fixing and replacing parts on optimus, along with adding some new bulk and improving his proportions some.

And here's him with his little human soldier group!

Next update will show better lighting and quality in photos, and hopefully a far more posable and "play" friendly Optimus.

You aren't wrong, that's for sure. This is basically an original concept at this point! I frankly used the Warhammer title as a quick way to describe his aesthetic, also to make it sound as badass and nerdy as possible, Lol.

I like to think Optimus, and some other transformers; Quite like their earth modes, almost like adding onto a new part of their culture. So some would keep their original ones whilst some would probably ditch it for their original ones. With the caveat of characters like Optimus; Adding onto his body with more accessories and armor plating.

Oh Gosh! It's been forever. I'm going to give you all a Little tease.

Heavy redesigns of optimus: Due to him literally falling apart and me finding that siege magnus made a fantastic base for a unorthodox prime. Chromedome, and an original character called Iota

Nice to see a new update from you! Hopefully this is the start of more to come, because I still love your work. That new Optimus looks fantastic and wears the Seige Magnus mold quite well. Amazing job on these!

    PERFECTION.

My only issue with this build: there needs to be more characters to follow it!

Incredible job!!! :bay  This video should sum it up for everyone:

Time for another update! Firstly, Responding to some of you.

Thank you, That means a lot! It's great to see you again. Apologies for the hiatus. Personal life got in the way and I got myself into university. [Thankfully for art.]

Cosmic rust, I'm afraid.. Kidding. He fell too many times, and the skills I had couldn't exactly cope with the constant damage gravity took on him. Some of the original aspects of that prime retain in the newer version though.

Don't tempt me. I'm already working on another figure that would work fantastically for this.

Thank you! The goal here is to make the majority of my collection fit this aesthetic.

This issue shall be rectified soon, I promise. ;)

Time for pictures of giant robots. [Warning, Picture heavy.]

Firstly, The almost-Done big bot himself. Based again off of his unreleased G-2 repaint. However with some inspirations from Delta convoy, God Ginrai; and the WFC Game optimus prime. Closeups will be available once I figure out how to make these images smaller. He uses the original custom's thighs and crotch, and the front shoulder pads. his arms come from a plethora of transformer scraps, and his calves are from expoxy sculpt and Lego, this includes his feet. Head is the original mold's. Chest grill comes from a studio-series mixmaster that I scrapped, considering I don't intend on getting a combiner just yet.

Iota is a self-insert of sorts. The human definition of "Gender-neutral femininity". A being of which her identity is as obscure and tenuous as their obsession towards creation. based off of glyph and using the windcharger variant of the Tailgate generations mold. Iota is a junkion native that grew-up with the more progessive side of american television. Believing that a good personality and genuine caring intent is the heart of good relations, they've made friends from the most noble autobot, to the most gnarly decepticon. She just has that natural charm and grace to bring the best out of people. If only if this skill could be used in politics. What a shame.

Chromedome is the most loyal to his original mold. Using the character and most of the original figure as a base. I scrapped his head-master gimmick, replaced his crotch with the classic 2007' Megatron [Deluxe], and gave him more dynamic hands for his more.. Surgical side of talent. He takes the role of ratchet, an old bot who has been widowed after the death of his beloved Re-wind. His compassion hidden under a thick layer of cynicism and nihilism.

Not gonna say much on him yet, But here's a quick update on the tyrant himself. He has more than one fusion canon; and is going to be primarily inspired by his G-2 counterpart as well.

    Oh! of course.

Magnus' legs have been converted into a mobile battle-base. Much like G2 pyro, or prime's Battle-tanker mold.

Vehicle mode requires some partsforming, but I realize that isn't bad now. Transformers always had partsforming, so it's never an issue. only parts-forming is his shoulderpads turning into his smokestacks and the Bottom "Front Bumper."
