good. missed out on sovereign. I like XTB. I have about equal amounts from both company but competition chases down the prices and I welcome that with open arms

 

Oddly, I think the torso looked better in the original teaser, without the hinges and better shaped arms.

Looks great like everything XTB does. Fingers crossed that it passes the most difficult tests of all for XTB lately
1.) Don't get by QC if there are issues.
2.) Don't break out of the box.
3.) Be able to be handled like its a metal and diecast toy and not an ancient wooden relic on the ocean floor that is going to be taken to the surface for the 1st time in 2,000 years.
4.) Survive without breaking after first transformation.

Other than that, I don't care about price or add-on kits because I'm definitely in. I hope that either these guys or FT does a toy color one as well.

Well if their kup and menasor are anything to go by.........

 

They SHOULD release an almost flawless figure, the same with Kup and Springer, XTB reputation is quite low right now... But for that same reason I firmly believe that they will deliver a great product this time... Hopefully.

 

This looks good. Specially the cannon mode looks good. Hopefully this will come in movie colours as wel as season three colours. Also, all the red bits on Galvatron should be made from translucent plastic.

 

XTB is working on those unsightly chest hinges.

 

The hinges don't bother me personally. The arms fold around into the ring encircling the cannon body and the hinges don't seem to be butterfly joints for the shoulders...they look to be hinges to unfold the flat cannon support struts that are stored in the torso. The dx9 cannon looked so much better than sovereign's in part because the cannon had the proper struts/planks, whereas sovereign was just the robot arms, just like the G1 toy. Was very disappointed with that.

 

Me neither. They're probably something to do with a butterfly shoulder joint I'd imagine too.

Thing about this is all a read is 'A bad un'. Which is very apt for the Brits amongst us lol

Marginally tempting. I'm glad they decided to actually do this, or perhaps they shelved it to make sure to improve their quality before doing something like this (still looking at how awful Apollyon was in the end). All in all that's a solid looking Galvatron in both modes and I it trumps the other MP Galvies by a land slide. The ONLY complaint I have is that the cannon itself is way too short and stumpy. Everything is else is pretty much perfect and surprisingly clean.

 

The cannon is easy to "fix", I guess, but I believe it's accurate... Hopefully they will give us two options for the cannon mode... Either way, it seems that the cannon houses the white piece for robot mode and the purple piece for cannon mode.

 

That IS toon accurate megatroptimus buddy (habit. we used to chat daily long time ago on IM in ancient day).

No way. Actually In person this xtb will look, more or less, correct (with a longer neck & dark grey chin of course). However the lower jaw could also be the other drawn way too like the movie was.

 

I would say the time is right. The dust has long settled between fanstoys and dx9 releasing their versions.

There are no other Galvatron's being released at the same time, the fanstoys one is available for what, $300? I'm not sure what the dx9 one is going for used.

Fanstoys just put up preorders for their cyclonus, XTB has theirs up for preorder. Seems like a good time to me.

How many new G1 MPs that are new molds are in the pipeline? People are ready for new molds.

 

I'm pretty sure in the show the cannon is rounder; I don't think it was that short either but maybe Abaddon's lack of roundness on it is giving that impression either way. You're right though; it's something that would be easily swapped if a replacement is made.

 

Agreed. Sovereign already came and went for the most part, except for very slight sprinklings available at say, ShowZ, for inflated prices. So the time is as good as it can get from how I see it.

 

FT Sovereign reissue coming in 10,9,8,7.....

 

Haven't watched the movie nor season 3-4 in a long, long time, I was just going by the original toy (grey) and my shelves (purple Galvatrons)... lol
