The problem is, it's long past the point where I'd be willing to accept "the G1 cartoon wasn't good" as an excuse to redo G1. We've gotten redo upon redo of the G1 toys, I don't need to see the movie toyline become that (although it already has with SS86) while WFC and Cyberverse has finally put those into cartoon form. There's only so many times that "the last time wasn't any good" can be trotted out as an excuse. G1 has been overdone. Plus, there have been various comics that have gotten it right, if people really need fiction to go along with it. Meanwhile, Beast Wars fiction was done well with its original cartoon, so it really doesn't need a re-telling.

 

I´d digress but there´s some content i need more knowledge about and in any case i wish for the movies to take the basic concept for TF then execute it well which i don´t think was done in any of the theatrical titles.

The shame of it is that WFC was their chance to do "good" G1 media (and by media I mean audiovisual, obviously the comics have been doing well on that side) and they completely botched it.

They tried to make something a bit more adult-oriented but only in the most superficial of ways resulting in this faux-edgy tone that doesn't resonate with anyone. On top of that you have a very limited runtime, pretty poor voice acting, and often rigid animation.

I wouldn't be shocked if it has nothing to do with Beast Wars. In fact, I expect it not to.
I'd actually be disappointed if this ends up being the Autobot lineup. Can we please bring in other Bots. It's not like there are lots of other familiar characters (I'm not counting the Bayverse nameslaps): Jazz, Prowl, the REAL Twins, Red Alert, Inferno, Magnus, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Skyfire, First Aid, Blades, etc......

 

If that leak is true I'm really hoping for a SS version of the Energon Ignitors Soundwave. A proper version of that design that is fully painted and articulated would be a dream.

Yeah, no, I'm calling bullshit on this. Because first of all, working titles don't actually work like this. The big example they gave of this Star Wars, but the Beast Alliance shit would be akin to Revenge of the Sith not having Sith appear anywhere in the actual movie. Something the latter franchise has never actually done.

And secondly, the "leaker" literally just took Cheetor's role in Cyberverse and stuffed it in there haphazardly alongside every single G1 transformer in Bumblebee movie other than Megatron. There is no way the film has zero new characters other than him and Cheetor, even if they ARE trying to cash in on G1 nostalgia.

The whole leak smacks of what everyone has long hoped a direct sequel to Bumblebee Movie would be. In other words, fanfiction in the form of a "leak." Not that I think the new movie will necessarily disappoint (I sure HOPE not), but it's not gonna play out 100 percent like what we imagine in our heads, guaranteed.
