His biceps are painted purple in the promo shots... they're not, in final copies.. it's transformed the same afaik *shrug* The engine blasts are pink instead of yellow, too... so maybe we will see an EX version coming soon lol

 

Well some people seem to pull the arms all the way out in ship mode and some have them partially collapsed on the white part. Just wasn't sure which was "correct".

 

You should ban them... unless it looks good, then I need to go change mine. Seriously tho, seems like it would make it even more limp looking.

Well, if it helps, you can remove the "wings" from the backpack since they are held on by one screw each.
This would give him a bit more of a G1 look.

 

I got my Purple Potato from a random HK eBay seller over the weekend. While I overall love the figure, the accessories bag is missing one of the front greebles for spaceship mode. (the piece that the front antenna/spike runs through and that tucks under the hand in robot mode)

Does anyone here (preferably in the US) have a spare one, or can cast/3D print a new piece? I figured I'd try asking before I go through the uncertainty, shipping costs, and delays of trying to replace the piece through the seller

 

I don't have a spare one, but I'm pretty sure there were a couple of folks that posted about getting 2 bags of accessories.
It may be worth going back through the thread to find them and then messaging one of them directly.

I decided that the included stand just wasn't doing the job for me. With a little bit of creativity and luck, I fashioned a new stand that provides more height, stability, and adjustability (as well as does away with the ugly grey feet). It also gives me the potential to display the impending Iron Factory Galvaton/Scourge/Cyclonus figures with it:

 

I use him as my MP Shockwave. Who is gonna display him in his gun altmode anyways?

 

He's a good shockwave. The plastic quality does make me worry about longevity just a little though. My quakeblast and quakewave both feel much more solid. As a display piece though, PP is just as good IMO since he's more articulated. PP looks more sleek and lithe than C9 or FT, and I think it's a good look.

I was on the lookout for the leg transformation problems but it all went so smoothly I'm worried something broken will fall out if/when I transform him back! I feel like I did something wrong to not have the leg problem lol.

I don't understand the criticism of the plastics quality. It's an aesthetic choice to go matte, it's way better than the almost edible Magic Square plastic, I just don't get it. Great figure! Not a fan of the wrist shabby parts sticking out, and all my shockwaves need a more deeply set space behind the eye and rim.

 

Just got this guy for the ship mode and I was not disappointed! Thanks to Emgo I was able to transform him quickly with no issues. Displayed beside Haslab Unicron it looks incredible. Highly recommended!

 

Are those Christmas lights or some added LED's on Unicron or does he come with the lights in the ring? Don't think I;ve ever seen that before!

 

I got some LED string lights from Home Depot and wrapped it around the rings. Not my original idea, another TFW member had shown off theirs.
