    Constructor, reissued multiple times.
    Unicron, already reissued once.

Their timing might be terrible, but I would say they've been doing really well.

Bobby Skullface said it best: we are all TF fans, but we are not in the same hobby.

Pretty sure the Unicron was the only one they came under fire for. And even then the still released it twice after Haslab was finished.

If two MP Primes can come out the same time as Takara's $450 Optimus, than pretty sure they'll be perfectly fine.

Same group of designers between TW Constructor, Zeta Combiners, and Moon Studio Radiatron (which was previously under Zeta's brand).

In this case, I think it's Takara trying to scare off would-be Zeta/MoonStudio Raiden buyers.

    1. Zeta announced their Raiden with some proto pictures
    2. The Unicron debacle happens
    3. THEN Takara basically vaguebooks about maybe making a MP Raiden potentially kinda sorta google translate maybe you can decipher the runes
    4. Over a year later, still no images or further word about it from Takara, and only now we're getting a size scale (which left some still thinking there's some debate - I think they're saying it'll be the typical size, not the Titan size, but I'd love to be wrong. Why wouldn't they just give a measurement?)

So, to me it feels like Takara dropped the news just to try to dent Zeta, given that Takara has literally nothing to show still, or even some real concrete info, all this time later.

It was a tie in for a major train centered event going on in Japan, I think I heard it was along with other "famous" fictional trains. However the event ended up being cancelled due to Covid so Takara has been waiting since then. I don't know if the event has been rescheduled finally and they will show it there, or if they gave up on the event and will actually show it elsewhere. All we got from the magazine was text giving a few details and confirming it is still happening.

Originally, yeah. Before Moon took over Radiatron and 01 got Cell, Zeta was creating both Moonwalker and Core Star, respectively.

LOVING all of this except the size. As much as I don't like to promote KO's, I do hope this is successful enough that someone makes a voyager sized version for those of us that want smaller sized figs (or simply lack the space for such larger figures).

A lot of sites have them up right now.
Showzstore has them each at around $103 USD while ex.tfs-express has the full set for around $444.99 USD.

Yeah, unlicensed and unauthorized products are more appropriately referred to as bootlegs.:thumbs2:

Bootlegs/KO are meant to resemble existing physical products. There are no existing MP figures of said combiners and transformers. The reason it’s called third party is because they are original figures that are takes on characters from the cartoons. The engineering and design are made solely by said company, ergo not a KO nor a bootleg.

My post was made in jest, however it was factual. The name “third party” originated from the fact that the original products that started the market were actual third party add-on/upgrade and accessories sets. The differentiation between knockoffs/bootlegs and “3p” figures, as you’ve described, is purely an invention by our fandom. Because they use other companies’ IP without permission, they are considered knockoffs and bootlegs by the toy industry at large.

Everything is an invention of someone else FYI. IP was invented then manipulated by large companies (ala Disney) to maintain control over inventions and creations (often by under-compensated individuals) to continue a long term revenue stream. However artistic interpretation allows for enough deviation where if there’s enough significant difference in a piece of art or product it cannot be considered a “copy”. Seeing as how most 3P creations do not actually have an official counterpart and deviate enough that most likely is why you won’t see the IP controlling company actually give a shit.

There's Licensed 3rd Party products... C'mon you say you post "in jest"... Just be real. Fact is, this is an unlicensed 3rd Party product. Bootleg/KOs are copies of existing products. In some cases modified versions of existing products.

He's saying he wants these KO'd into a smaller scale.
