Raiden is inherently out of scale with himself. In the real world, those locomotives can't all travel together on the same rails.

Is the scale too off or just slightly off?

    The exact ratio is 56.5:42
    (standard gauge vs Cape gauge)

Not half bad. The head sculpts need work though.

Look at the details on the inside of the legs in his bot mode, the parts near the front don't match up with the rest of the side of the leg. The simple solution would be the legs rotate at the knee to encapsulate the thigh then the front of the leg rotates 180 degrees to get the knee cap back to the top and line up the side of the train details.

They should make a simple cargo train to store any leftover combiner kibble. Sorta like Siege Astrotrain.

I'm saying this as 50% joke, 50% real.

Studying the pics the last few days the only parts I can't see at least a possibility of integrating are the chest shield, the "wings", and the ankle guns. The ankle guns are already just simply giant guns for the leg figures and go on their roof for alt mode. I expect the wings will be something similar, maybe with the arm figures. That MIGHT just leave the chest shield as an leftover part.

Agreed. The mouths on both are a bit too puckered, for lack of a better term. And Ice Land's (I forget which he's supposed to be so bear with me, haha) eyes look too small.

For a figure who just found out his competition is going to be shorter than the rest of the 3P MP combiners, this thread has been pretty quiet the past 2 days.

If the first two figures hit the retailers in less than 90 days are we thinking there should be more photos by this point? June 2021 was the first two, correct? The best we have are those gray mock-ups so far. What are the current odds of Moon making that first delivery date?

Size isn’t everything... And 48 cm isn't that bad either, besides... it will not pantsform, that's almost a fact and a good feature for people who dislike pantsforming.

This one doesn't pantsform either, but maybe Takara can make better robot modes.

Since Takara's will most likely not pants form and they want the main bots to be in scale (assuming the rumors of it being CHUG scale aren't true) that would explain the closer to UW Devastator and UT Bruticus.

Also does this guy not pantsform? Cause that seems like a lot of waist and thigh for just one bot (assuming he isn't much larger than the other members).

Woah, when did the 48cm came up? I never heard of this before.
The last time I checked, everybody was on the "Moon Sudio is kinda Toywolrd/Zeta, therefore Not-Raiden is about Constructor`s size".
However, it`s not a big deal for me, since he matches fine with my preferred Bruticus (Unique Toys´s Ragnaros).
It`s also nice to have diferrent sized combiners.

Nope, this is almost an all integrated combiner, assuming the chest plate and the hands have a place to go in the other modes.

I was talking about the MP Raiden. Radiatron will be 50+ cm

I just hope that Radiatron and MP Raiden stay different enough that no one feels the need to get out the banhammer and get Radiation blocked.

Always best when we have choices, even if you don't like some of them yourself.

I want to like this more than I do. It's just not very cartoon accurate. To be fair, it's not like any of Zeta's stuff really is (not by the modern standard of cartoon accurate at least). Takara's doesn't sound like it's actually gonna scale for MP at all.

I don't think anyone else is going to get to this anytime soon though, so this will likely be the best option for MP collections for a long time (unless Takara's ends up being a good scale after all).

In fairness if takara ends up around the size of CW devy then he'll scale perfectly with any mmc combiners. It's gonna be interesting to see how 3p combiners move forward after this

The renders look kind of busy to me. It reminds me very much of Toyworld's Constructicons.

Will wait for the colored images before deciding.

And I wonder if Toyworld / Zeta has the world's worst luck or simply have a deathwish. Their Devastator clash with UW's one, so does their Unicron and now their Raiden.
