Have you seen Armada Wheeljack? He’s basically a repainted Sideswipe with an identity crisis

Given how the netflix show used the toy models so many times for background characters, I would be interested in buying an Armada Wheeljack from this mold to be one of those background characters

 

Every time we get a Sideswipe toy, I want Armada Wheeljack. Just give it to us, Hasbro!!

 

Probably very meticulous masking or having a "template" of sorts.

 

I mean they technically already did with T-wrecks lol

 

We’ll see it after this trilogy, I’m sure of it. And most likely as a repaint of the rumored earth mode version.

 

First time I've heard of him, but it's not uncommon to hear of an armada character with inner edgy conflicts

 

Then that will get repainted as SG Sideswipe in the SG subline.

 

Tl;dr He and Hot Shot were in a squad that got in a firefight. Wheeljack got stuck under rubble from an explosion, Hot Shot ran to find help. Help told him Wheeljack was as good as dead and dragged HS away while WJ was stuck and saved by Megatron who convinced him HS abandoned him. Real interesting character and it's not often to see an Autobot actually defect, its always just someone being a spy.

 

Edge sells.  

 

I was just looking him up on TFWiki and apparently they were going to be brothers, and also his head looking a lot like Sideswipe's was entirely a Takara thing. There seems to have been a great lack of communication back in those days because apparently Aaron Archer didn't know the toy had knees and only one wrist joint.

Yes. Iirc someone did a digibash and it looked really good.

 

No. The only thing they really have in common is the head, which would get retooled anyway. I think Cyclonus would be a better match.

Iunno, I almost feel like either could work. Scourge is the one I instinctually thought of when looking ad Devcon, presumably like others did, but Cyclonus looks like he'd work about as well.

 

Devcon's vehicle mode is closer to Scourge's then Cyclonus.

 

The vehicle mode looks more like Blurr’s to me with Scourge’s thrusters attached
