Wouldn't the price on this help push people to the xtransbots version? The price is lower, there will be plenty of stock to wait and see reviews, etc, etc.

Well i guess...on one side it's good to give new \ late collectors a chance at these things. On the flip side, some price rises like this feel really 'price gouging' like they are taking the piss, and it still attracts scalpers "£199? Pfft £299 in a month, from me! HAHAAHA!!!!!"

I have XTB first version, I like how hulking he is just not the face sculpt. Never dared to transform though.

 

yeah sideshow and hot toys are baaad i made good profits on most of the figures , a couple i broke even on like ht yoda because not long after the one i bought they released one that was better in every way ! same with r2-d2

 

Yeah, Hot Toys is going the same route. Now more than ever you need to have very sharp focus in your collecting habits.

 

the more i think about it, the 40 CAD transformer Kingdom cyclonus is actually ok vs 10x more cost for FT one.. lol... It does looks pretty good and smooth transformation.

Last year, I bought 2 Hot Toys figures: Iron Man Mark L and War Machine MKIV. They mostly sell under MSRP on eBay.

Always confused when I hear people making boatloads of money from Hot Toys figures
