My first one had cracks on the cheetah neck... The plastic is super thin. Thinner than pasta or something.

The colors are much better, but the lack of blue on the lower legs is a disappointment and, of course, the mold itself is still weirdly proportioned and the shoulders a super awkward. It is better than the Generations version, but that is damning with faint praise. Continues the tradition of Hasbro being completely unable to manufacture a really top tier transforming Cheetor for the main line since Transmetals.

A very nice figure and definitely prefer this deco over the main release version. I wasn’t really feeling this figure when the first review of him came out via tonton but he’s definitely grown on me. The metallic blue and golden colors really improve the figure too.

Out of curiosity, does anyone else mistransform his side torso pieces like in the pics I posted above? I just think it helps his proportions out a bit since now his chest is a bit wider than his lower torso instead of being the same thickness if those side pieces were attached like attended. Let me know what people think about that.

Transformed mine back and forth a bit last night to test things out. The Cheetah neck tab, no matter what I did, only has the absolute bare minimum of clearance only if you slightly tilt the neck plate back when transforming. What I found worked best going to robot mode was folding the cheetah head at the hinge as much as possible, then gently tilt the robot neck plate back, to enable the neck tab to tuck underneath. When transforming to cheetah mode, try to tilt the robot neck mode back to enable the cheetah neck tab to clear.

However be careful as the cheetah neck hinge tends to flex sideways when doing this as there’s nothing to really brace it. I was worried the pinned hinges could crack as they’re thin.

I don’t but sometimes I don’t fold the side panels all the way into the abdominal section, so that the upper body looks as wide as the waist. Tends to make it look more proportionate.

The lack of blue on the shins really peeved me at first, but after watching some reviews of it I've see that it actually de-emphasizes the bulkiness of the shins and makes them look a bit better (kind of means it's a bad design choice that conveniently obscures another bad design choice, but eh). Also the beast mode does admittedly benefit from the lack of blue more than I expected.

However one unfortunate thing is the newly released third party gut gun appears to be color matched to the original release. I wonder how close it actually matches the original release, and if it doesn't at least look passable on Netflix Cheetor. Has anyone with Netflix Cheetor also bought the 3rd party gut gun?

The leaked prototype images (and I think the box art? I can't recall) have spots all the way down to his paws. The final product...doesn't.

I liked the regular release enough, but having this one in hand it really is a lot nicer. Even just the little things, like the green cheetah eyes or how the robot mode's orange eyes stand out against the dark blue, really make a big difference. I don't even find myself missing the blue on the legs all that much, though funnily enough the lack of blue on the weapon bugs me more that I thought it would.

Some listings get removed from public search after they sell out.

If you don't mind paying the import tax, I know toyarena had listed all the wave 3 figures of all class sizes. They're US based but will sometime get the jump on Walmart by importing figures. Sparkless Seeker and Deseeus Army Drone have sold out, though.

    Pros:
    * All the stuff you like about Kingdom Cheetor
    * Blue color is much darker/richer than the Kingdom toy, and I find it looks much nicer.
    * Less conspicuous blue bits showing in cheetah mode, making that mode look cleaner.
    * I like the green cat eyes, and kinda wish the robot eyes matched, similar to the original Cheetor toy(s)

    Cons:
    * All the bad stuff about Kingdom Cheetor is still there
    * Less conspicuous blue bits in robot mode (but it's a prettier blue!)

    Overall:
I'd say this version works a bit better than the Kingdom toy, in both modes

grab the red cheetor and use that blaster. That’s what lots of folks are doing. The red cheetor kinda suck imo cuz all the pieces fall off. Cheetah head and legs just pop off all the time. Got him for the blaster lol

Welp the neck tab on mine broke when going to bot mode. I’m now convinced this was an abandoned part and the good thing is, it’s not required for transformation at all. It’s actually easier to transform to robot mode now after the tab broke off. The cheetah neck is on a hinge with a detent that keeps it in place in cheetah mode. I’m more worried that the thin plastic around its pin may crack down the line as mine has stress marks on the side where the knurled end of the pin is. Doesn’t seem like it’s gotten worse so hopefully it lasts.

So, this box is weirdly unfinished, right? There's all that blank space below the logo, something should be printed there right?

Anyway, Cheetor. The worst beast wars mp, a universe figure that even Henkei paint couldn't help, several infamously bad BM figures. There's just something about the guy. I'm late on getting the latest attempt, partly because it looked weak, partly because I wanted to compare the Kingdom and Netflux colours in person.

And he's decent, but the kind of decent where I won't hesitate to consider replacing him the next attempt. Cheetah mode is good, and it does benefit from the missing paint. The tail weapon sucks, and the robot looks funny. It's functional at least, which puts him above the old Universe figure, and unlike the MP, I don't expect any critical breakages. So he'll do as my deluxe Cheetor as we expand our beast wars shelves.

I’ve fiddled with this figure more since buying it weeks back. I find it fun to transform, it’s largely intuitive. Only thing I don’t like is the minimal clearance for the cheetah neck/mouth during transformation. I also think the tailwhip axe is kind of weird to yield(axe should be curved forward more). A gut gun would’ve been appreciated and the figure even seems like it was meant to have one(to cover the gaps in cheetah mode and plug into the robot mode hands) but maybe the budget ran out. This figure definitely does seem like a victim of cost cutting. I wish the folding lower torso halves ended more in a gradual “V” shape as opposed to leaving the torso looking pinched in above the waist.

Otherwise I find this much more fun to play with compared to the Universe/Classics 2.0 version.

I really enjoy the Cheetor mold. For all its flaws it's a well articulated robot that you can achieve some really dynamic poses with. The prospect of one with a better deco was hugely appealing.

So honestly, this one is a frustrating fellow, mainly as he's so very nearly there. The missing gold I can gloss over. The missing blue not so much. Someone had to cop for it in Wave 3 as by and large it's a gorgeously painted set of toys. Ah well. The metallic blues and more saturated tones still make this the superior deco over the original release in spite of what is missing.
