So are these video games in development? Or board games? I’m assuming the former.

This’ll be the first I’ve heard of it.

Most likely a board game of some sort. Renegade Studios is a board game publisher.

Whatever.  Wake me up when we finally get a new Platformers, action based / adventure video game.

Honestly while I’d like a video game, a D&D style Transformers RPG would be amazing

This is good news for folks who enjoy tabletop games. However, it legit feels like HasTak is doing everything they can to avoid giving us a decent video game. They’ll do augmented reality, some mobile games, an arcade game, a table top game, and a Cyberverse game that literally looks like a mobile game anyway, but they can’t give us a decent video game with a good story and awesome combat? Okay then.

Especially if they do it right. I want armor ratings and weapons stats, plus and minus bonuses to alt-mode choice, the works. If Metroplex's armor can be damaged by anything lower than a Combiner, they failed their job.

Wellll.... According to Ravage's bio, his missiles have a 1 megaton yield. Metroplex's armor can be scratched by nuclear weapons (again, bio). So, I think some TFs lower than a Combiner could damage Metroplex's armor and they haven't failed their job

(Although, from what they seem to be saying, you can't play an established TF anyway.)

I do agree in that if they do a pen/cil-and-paper RPG, it would be great if they make a system appropriate for TFs (DnD 5e would be an absolutely terrible match for TFs).

Wait... a real, honest to god, licensed Transformers tabletop RPG?

You have my total and undivided attention.

I'm not familiar with the publisher but I've heard good things about Kids on Bikes and I'm skimming a review copy of their Altered Carbon system. Even if the actual mechanics may not be my cup of tea, the production quality is really solid and the idea of getting actual splatbooks for different corners of TF lore is... well, I can only get so erect, you know?

The AC book at least looks like it's trying to accurately capture the feel of that setting and some of its unique aspects, which suggests that whatever they do with the TF franchise will at least be thoughtfully done, even if it's not necessarily a system I want to actually play.

Always wanted an rpg TV game since it could include all the iconic gimmicks and attacks so using random unknown characters makes no sense to me.

*sigh* When I read the headline I thought we were getting a Transformers RPG video game.

I really don't understand. Transformers is the perfect license for an action/adventure game and I don't know why they're so against making those now.
