Sideswipe is a great figure, it retains most modern articulation, but im having 2 problems with mine. one of them i've seen on this thread that the torso isnt clicking in, but the rear of my legs arent exactly the same. one goes down and stays down, the other stays like in the car mode. is this on anyone elses copy?

Yeah, mine does that, I just manually move it to the position I like most. I believe I've seen several reviews with that same issue.

How hard is it to remove the lower legs on this figure?

I've done very little in the way of customs, basic stuff like paint removal or painting eyes, but I found it OK. The feet pop off and the shins have a pin than can be nudged out with an automatic pin punch. The pin has a 'knurl' that holds it in place by gripping the plastic - you have to push from the opposite end...

Have you been able to take the lower legs off from the knees?

I didn't try that. Just the feet and 'shins'.

I really like this molds bot mode (kinda hate the alt mode, but it is what it is) but something has been bugging me about him forever, and I finally realized what it was when someone posted some G1 model sheets in K.Galvatron thread: He's missing the doors on the outside of the forearms - it's not a "big" deal, but its a bit of a distinctive feature and adds some additional color blocking overall to his silhouette. Not sure with his transformation scheme if you could even add those in any conceivable way for the supposed Earth-remold we've heard rumors of.
