I miss WeiJiang. I could be wrong, but I kinda feel that new KO's in general have slowed down ever since WJ got caught.

 

I mean, there are not much thing to be KO now. The last movie of TF is a while now. Kid won't interest in G1 ish and other toon so WFC is not that relevant

Entire SS line and WFC line has tons of stuff to KO. Just no one’s doing it.

 

I don't just mean WJ KO's, I mean all KO's from other companies as well. There's so much that can be KO'ed, other than Bayverse bots. And not just mainline either.

 

shame the planet mode is a bit shit and i'm happy with the size of zeta's robot mode plus i have the soldier story unicron too which is quite big ... just need a decent planet mode

 

I remember reading about one of Hasbro's engineers getting fired or something of the sort during the combiner wars time and he sold the design files to the KOs companies and that was why the KOs were so better than usual... don't quote me on this as I can't remember where I read it and don't have it in me to look up if it was true or not, but if it is true, it would explain a lot about why the lines did get KOed as much as they did, the quality, etc. and why newer stuff isn't happening in the same way.

So are you saying that all the G1 and toon KO's that BMB/Aoyi, WJ, BPF, KBB, CBB, etc, did before and are still selling as of today, are not relevant?

Yes and no. No, I am not saying there are none, of course there are, sell at smaller number. They still could get profit. And yes, it is not that relevant
let be real here, the 3rd like BMM sell their KO for a big scale which is most of buyer is kid, or casual. So yes, no one care that much out side of Optimus, Bee, Megatron etc... from the live action. The other still selling, sure. At smaller scale. Just as the guys start this question said: thing have slowed down
So yes, Toon like WFC is not much relevant. Once new movie release, KO will much more active

 

continue ... oversized MPM03 is entering the market. very small lots go to sellers. they were produced even before the closure of the factory, but the company is only now dumping stocks for sale. I guess the same applies to the MPM10, which I wrote about earlier.

 

That would be great if we did get better toys. If KO/3P never existed anymore, HasTak would still continue with their greedy, monopolistic, lazy practices in shoving products out the door prematurely resulting abysmal QC issues(ie MPM4), less and less basic "skin of your teeth" paint apps(ie anything), kibble-tastic forearms and backpacks(ie Haslab & MPM12) due to lazy engineering just to meet deadlines and quarterly quotas.

Even adding unnecessary accessories/gimmicks just to artificially inflate the price and even overcharge(ie Masterpiece BumbleBee & MP44). You can't defend any of that. Even when outer companies like Flame Toys, Three Zero(3A), and Robotech ACTUALLY licenced the brand, HasTak refuses to let any of them transform. They don't seem like healthy competition even within rights don't they?

Unfortunately, Hastak don't give a rat's hiney about your contribution or us adult collectors because their main focus are the parents purchasing the figures to shut their kids up, that's their real money. The Masterpiece line quality is basic confirmation on how they feel about the adult collecting demographic.

I'm suprised no one stands up to HasTak for their BS but we normally don't because we're all already satisfied and spoiled by 3P/KOs. HasTak thinks we're okay with all their BS so they keep doing it. So there's that.

Remember when companies would shut down other IP infringing works to protect brand integrity? Now Hastak is just doing it to keep people from seeing how bad their quality is.

Started exploring due to the proliferation of all the shi+ seen on eBay these days. $16M volume is a lot of shi++y repros. Although the 6 mini-cassettes for 18 bucks looks tempting. As soon as one fabricator gets taken down, 10 more will rush in to fill the vaccuum.

 

Eh? Did WJ survive in some form or someone is releasing their old stuff? Does anyone know more?
