Yeah gotta agree with you here. This looks like a decent custom from someone on the boards here, but definitely not the work of a "real" company. It looks kinda random and dirty, and I think they made the silver much brighter, which is the wrong way to go for battle damage.

I’m not sure who this feierpuze person is, but I stumbled across his Instagram account today and noticed he posted photos of the new deco way back in early January. I think it may depend on the lighting, and its for sure not as wonderful as Toy World’s weathering, but I do like how it looks.



Anyway, this person posts a lot of really awesome photos and appears to get things early (he has all of the Toy World biplanes!) so give him a follow!

I am surprised no one has posted a pic of him in truck mode just to see what he looks like. Just wondering if the battle damage shows in truck mode.

 

No alt mode pics but the battle damage will definitely show in truck mode, which is a no-go for me (I was already out, but this settled it  ).

I think the alt mode is gonna be the same paint just with dirt and weathering

 

I just don't want to potentially wait a month and a half of uncertainty from China so I would rather buy from TFsource to get this figure if UT is still breathing.

And the weathering is nice, I just don't want battle broken chunks blown right off in truck mode.....is there? It just looks like they simply silver sponged the edges. Which is fine for me.

 

Oof, yeah that’s no good. I’d much rather they have saved the paint budget for some better layering in bot mode (and areas like the fingers and neck plate, which I always have to do myself).

 

"Battle Damaged" version just dropped in Taiwan yesterday. Guess I'll have my copy in a few days. Still not sure why I bought it, lol. I wasn't that impressed by the original release. Must've been those added paint apps.

One of the shops put up a couple of pics on their FB page. The new paint looks good, but I can't tell if the hands are still that horridly light grey plastic.

 

Well at least we know UT is still making stuff so hopefully movie Galvatron will be next??

 

Hi all, first post from a long time lurker. Just got my Battle Damaged Challenger in the post thought I'd share some thoughts. Don't think I can share pics yet? Forum newbie in general so let me know if I'm being daft.

The paint is ok... like flicks of silvery opaque over the original paint. Doesn't distract from the alt mode at all, might even soften the blocks of colour a bit. As someobe who totally missed the 1st/2nd release I'm glad I got him, only issue is the head sculpt paint which feels really sparse.. a lot of plain silver

Anyway I'd love to post so.e pucs if I can figure out how.
