Can't help you with parts but I love redoing him in the darker orange. I was thinking of picking one up and doing the same thing, akin to what he was portrayed as in the IDW comic. I even looked last night but he was sold out at the only place I knew of that he was in stock when I last looked. Good luck finding a piece and nice job so far!

I already paid for some on TFsource (i know i know) and so have been holding out for him. It showed due March all March until April, now it says May

 

He was pushed to May back in the beginning of March. I think Acid Swarm is next, he was january, then March, now April.

It's pretty frustrating, they went through the same 6 month or so delay with downbeat.

Regarding the shins of these Maketoys Seekers:
I’ve seen images of each with flat-plane shins, where the colored “insert” detail just looks like paint, and I’ve seen some showing shins with 3-D plastic detail (I refer to the blue trapezoids on the shins of Meteor, the black on Lightning, and the purple on Skycrow). Are the plastic pieces optional, included parts, or am I looking at different versions/revisions of these toys?

I have zero interest in the new slavishly-tooned Masterpiece Seekers, but the Maketoys version is salvageable IMO as long as the shin detail pieces come standard.

 

There's a user that makes the shin vents and I think maybe fans for the chest or something like that. Can't remember who but you could search this thread for "add on" and you'll probably find info.

PD-23, PD-24, PD-27, PD-28 are the shin vents and chest intake fans. I got all three and six pairs of the chest intake fans (3 for the Coneheads). They really do add a nice detail to the Maketoys Seekers.

Stock is probably dwindling, it seems to be pretty common with them. It says there are only 500 being made, I wonder how many are actually being made.

 

If anybody who ordered the Meteor EX reissue also already has a copy of the original and can do a side-by-side, I'm very interested to see how they stack up.

 

That'll be me. Based on my MT Mountain Dewscream (Acid Storm) it should come with wing fillers and have the nosecone connection fixed.
