For comparison, the Bumblebee budget was nearly $100 million less than this. Here’s to hoping the bigger budget means they’re going to have a bigger cast of robots.

I imagine the TF7 is just a placeholder title - I mean, it IS the 7th live action Transformers movie. I really hope it's a reboot either continuing the Bumblebee universe or starting its own thing, but either way that's a big budget, and big budget movies bring with them big budget problems, just look at how boring most modern blockbusters tend to be when it comes to their story or characters. Optimistic, but cautiously so.

My expectations are low, as long as Bay is no longer involved hopefully we se something new.

I've lost confidence in all TF movies at this point, I'll never pay to go watch another one of these disasters.

While I can completely understand this POV, I still try to keep an open mind with these things regardless. Sure the chances of it being a let down are considerable, but... I guess I'd rather be hopeful that it'll be more like First Class and less like Dark Phoenix.

I\'m pumped! If nothing else it will lead to new figures! If the movie turns out to be watchable that\'s just a bonus.

No it's just the 7th live action movie.

    Bayverse is dead.

Frankly should've ended with Unicron awakening and transforms before it cuts to black.

    YouTube (Legacy):
Bumblebee was received very well, but a small complaint I saw was that it wasn't enough of a spectacle. I can see that as at the time, it was competing with Aquaman which felt more "blockbuster-y". I guess Hasbro doesn't want to risk being drowned out by the summer competition. Let's hope they actually use the budget for something like robot fights and not on a giant metal worm antagonizing a few humans.

It wasn't just 1 film. The entire Bayverse was on a decline for a few films domestically with China keeping it afloat, and eventually, even China felt the fatigue with TLK. Seeing Transformers films as the butt end of many jokes probably wasn't great for Hasbro's brand image either. Creating another Bayverse sequel will nuke whatever goodwill they recovered with Bumblebee. If Bayverse fans want to see a finale, you all should petition for a comic instead.

You know I hope this movie is more of \"the transformers\" instead of \"Humans. (special guest robots\")

In addition to Paramount, they have EOne and Hasbro adding to the budget right?

Honestly, I really liked Bumblebee's minimal action. It left a lot of time for character bonding and just chilling in that world, and it made the action a lot more satisfying when it finally kicked in. In a way I kind of prefer that to the typical Marvel superhero movie that tries to hit action beats every so many minutes. But realistically, I get why audiences expect more action throughout (and I'm fine with them ramping it up for this film).

I am excited to see what this next film will be. Hopefully a soft reboot, building off what Bumblebee did.
