he wasn't small in the 86' movie. he was the same height and bulk of Galvatron in the 86' movie. ;)  He ate his Weaties.

    Indeed!

How Rodimus Prime and Galvatron should be side by side.

He won't be bigger or smaller he'll be the same size. though skinnier.

Magnus, Galvatron and Rodimus were all the same size not the same mass. WFC Siege springer is actually too short as roddy, springer and magnus were all the same height. again not the same bulk.

Just like all the Autobot and decepticon headmasters are supposed to be the same as Optimus Prime height-wise not bulk-wise.

The netflix version definitely has the best paint, but my preferred WFC Megatron is the ER version with the Siege head. The new tooling in the chest and abdomen area fix some proportion issues I had with the Siege version

ER head works fine for me. Seige as pre Earth then hedgemon (Megatron),Galvatron, lastly is ER Megatron... Going to be hard going from Kingdom Galvatron and Rodimus to ER megatron and Optimus.

HasTak might release the gold repaint as Generation Selects or some kind of limited release with huge price tag.

Amazing how they got hotrod so right and this thing so wrong. Studio Hotrod made me re-look at mainline. This makes me run away again. What a shame

What exactly is wrong with it... it represents the character and has playability for a one season only character. Unless you are a comic person then he’s the Man for the next Millennium

I can't imagine Takara *not* doing Primus from it given he's the central antagonist of their whole storyarc at this point.

My guess is whatever delays pushed back the reveal are also why the spacing of their new chapters seems somewhat sporadic.

It took me this long to see all the similarities between this Rodimus and SS86 Hot Rod. Looks like the transformation will be quite similar. The lower legs fold up the same way, the forearms have the same flip-around pipes with the flap to cover the hands in alt mode, the flip-out bumper ends to cover the shoulder divots, etc. Given how many times I've transformed SS86 Hot Rod, I can't believe I didn't notice this until now.

That’s me, pretty much. I’m happy with the scaling of the figures. It makes for great group pictures.

Just offering my personal overview about cost and value since I can't share everyone else's. I don't collect whole waves. I like cherry picking. Cherry picking is often based on look, nostalgia, function or a genuine interest in the character. Often times there ought to be a connection. I've found that collecting this way still yields in spending upwards of $100 bucks in a given month, even if it's not Transformers.

If I save and plan to pick up two figures that I deem an enjoyment in a given month, it doesn't harm. For example, MP44 cost me roughly, $240 second hand. I saved for him and planned that he'd be the only purchase of that particular month. I ended up buying one other figure (non-Transformer) but it didn't hurt.

At the moment, I don't have it all saved up yet but planning to pick up both Rodimus and Galvatron for nostalgic reasons. I dunno. I don't have too many gripes about the price here. I like the offerings.

Good post. I think Rodimus is too expensive, but I am pretty sure I am going to pre order him and not even play the waiting for a sale game.

I get that. For what it offers, it doesn't seem to meet the price. I've begun considering other things in light of this besides what's being offered such as how the market has changed with the emergence of Rona.

It isn't only the toy industry that has been affected, sadly. I'm also into Rollerblading. The cost for parts and skates has gone up as an example. This has forced me to make more money rather than simply rely on saving. Hence, side hustles that weren't there last year. Also forced me to plan more. I don't particularly feel keen to plan, but here we are... planning haha.

I like that people can choose to pick up something or not pick up something if they don't believe the value is warranted. It means that the element of choice will always be there. We're in a hobby where choice is the primary motivator, so it's good to keep each person's personal inclinations about what they want out of a figure.

But to me, lot of the times, the price is just an obstacle or hurdle to overcome. Much like finding the money to do an online course or pay for your kids schooling. Just an obstacle to overcome and make use of said purchased item to the fullest to make the ride worth it.

    Okay.
It's an upscaled SS86 Hot Rod.
