Frankly these leaks have been annoying, not cute.

Like, it's 2021. Chances are you have a phone that has a camera 12 megapixels or more. That can use software to pick out extraordinary details.

And what do these troll-leakers give us? Pictures from the weirdest damn angles, obviously mistransformed, on cameras that look like they iPhone 3GSs (3 megapixels). Horrifically mistransformed.

Honestly, it's like bigfoot or alien UFO videos and photos nowdays. A world where everyone has these awesome, ultra high resolution sensors in their pocket, and we get photo quality and technique out of the 1970s. Really? Give me a break.

Whatever happened to taking pride in one's presentation? I *somehow* how got a real early push of some 3P stuff a few years ago. And what did I do? I made sure the transformations were right and carefully took the best pictures I could. Then I looked at my computer, threw out the bad ones, and retook them until I got the ones I wanted.

This silly game of "did Hasbro fuck up Galvatron again" (answer: looking like they did not) could have been entirely avoided by the leaker not being sloppy.

 

I did... the proportions are fine.

 

For some reason the last photo makes his proportions look better. Maybe in person It\'s not that bad, the optimistic Optimus in me believes so.

This toy is hot garbage, I'll stick to my personally customized and painted Titan Returns Galvatron, with various upgrade kits, a new head via Shapways and filler parts.

 

True, I think the lighting and background can also have a huge effect on photos as well.

How are these people “troll-leakers”? They could just not be good at taking pics or that’s the way the figure looks. Or they took some quick snaps to show the fandom?

And to be fair, many of the professional pics released by Hasbro do not do any favors for their figures either. The whole lesson in this is just take these leaks with a grain of salt and be patient until more product images drop.

 

your grimlock photo should be the most bare minimum standard for all toy photographer using phone. Good zooming degree and angle , good bluring to showcase the figure and with enough light covering the product

 

That new head-sculpt and your paint job are killer. Really makes the figure look awesome!

 

Parts count and transformational complexity. This Galvatron seemingly has an extremely complex torso and leg transformation. It's very comparable with Earth Rise Optimus Prime. The trailer wasn't much of the cost. You paid for the cab which was well above voyager. Check out the Walmart release of the mold without the trailer as part of the netflix line. It included 2 gang molded battlemasters at $40. The parts and complexity pushed it well above voyager there too.

Personally I'm in favor of the practice. I'd rather pay more for "final" versions of these characters that are more complete. After all, when are we going to get a Hot Rod like that again? Or a Galvatron like this? Probably never? We'll probably get _a_ galvatron and _a_ hot rod, but pure G1? No way. This is it. This is it for a lot of characters. Wreckgar too, because he's the next one coming. He's going to be a deluxe scale figure at a Voyager price point because he'll come with accessories (watch him come with a Unicron compatible version of the Junkion ship), and be released in Junkion redecos as well. But we've had two other Generation Wreckgars in 20 years - HFTD and Combiner Wars. We probably won't get another for a while, if ever.

I hope Hasbro learned their lesson and has a mid February reveal planned from 2022 till infinity with any big gun characters because this is honestly a farce.

Tom ton and PVP stepped up their game and now every tom dick and harry can get access to early stuff. First impressions are lasting Hasbro.
