Ya’ll are insane. Or you had a traumatic brain injury that also allows you to understand the sun’s solar flare language.

I really enjoy these manga stories because we either are getting cool new ideas or characters, on top of cool match-ups. I also love the feel that its like someone playing with their toys, subline divisions and continuity questioning be dammed!

I'm late to this game, but between the "real" name, the joke, and my own sense of "I want the name to look like something in English," I'm inclined to split the difference and start calling him "Lobe Hammer."

Probably true, but disappointing nonetheless. *I'd* certainly put down money on Lobe Hammer, err, Lawbhammer.

Exactly! The Legends comic is just the writers playing with every TF toy in existence and I love it for that.

An important point - Sakamoto Hayato-sensei is a proponent of the sci-fi storytelling technique that time is irrelevant when dimensional travel is concerned.

Legends is set in a parallel pocket universe spinning off from the Japanese G1 universe. The Legends World is visited by people from every era of JG1, but mainly 2021 and 2038. As per anime logic, this works out because all along during the classic series, there was a secret agreement not to talk about the Legends World to avoid time paradoxes.

Generations Selects focuses on the universe that existed before the Big Bang. This Precursor World is also visited by people from multiple eras of the next universe, mainly 2011 and 2050, with the story being interspersed with time travellers' flashbacks. The story is not finished yet, but evidently, Primus and Primacron are like Galactus in Marvel - long-lived and able to survive events that reshape spacetime.

You say. I only hear what I want to.

Their Volcanicus and Abominus both fit with UW's goal of animation accurate colors (and in the case of Abominus the additional chest armor). Because the Dinobots and Terrorcons both came out after the brand unification.

They did them because from their perspective UW fans in Japan suddenly had two teams based on G1 characters that didn't go with their UW stuff. Which, for Abominus, is a big fuckin' deal.

Selects Poseidon was the test run. Enough people supported it that they did a second test by repainting him. When Neptune performed up to their expectations, they tackled Volcanicus and Abominus in the "UW Style."

It's why many, myself included, don't think Liokaiser is off the table at this point.

He'll be much harder to make, though. It's no coincidence that they've stayed away from the combiners with two bot torsos up to now. To be frank, I'm not sure if the standard CW/POTP engineering can even support that kind of torso.

Plus, there's the other elephant in the room: all of the CW molds were suffering from significant mold degredation by the end of the line, because of how many repaints/retools of them there were. But if Takara DOESN"T use those molds, they'll have to make new ones. Which will bloat the budget of a potential Liokaiser far beyond even Piranacon.

Yeah, changing out a CW torso for completely new toolings of Leozack and Jallguar seems a bit far out.
