What the crap.. I always thought my figure had a wonky knee ratchet but as it turns out I never realized that the lower ratchet was tight like nothing. He stands perfectly fine now.

 

try to fully extend your knees so that the 2 parts, circled in yellow, touch each other
This way you should be able to make him stand straight

 

Holy crap I never knew the knees had an L and R on them! I always assumed mine had an incorrect left knee but I do have a proper left and right knee!   I guess my problem all this time was the ratchet being slightly positioned incorrectly so it made his left knee angle backwards slightly.

Or you need to open up and turn it 180 degree.

I have 2 Thomas and both knees were not good.
One had 2 of the same knee ratchets inside.
Second one had to switch the knee ratchets. After that, it was good.

Thanks to this thread, I found out my Thomas was never standing at full-height.
I really hate that everything sounds like it's breaking when you manipulate him.

Still an awesome bot, just not a playable as say my MP-49 or even my Cang Toys bots.

 

I managed to pick up a Thomas through Show.z and just opened him to find the head is very loose, floppy even. For example in the polystyrene the head just flops backwards under no tolerance.

I haven’t investigated too much if it is mis transformed or whatever, but just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this and if there is an easy explanation?

 

I kind of suspected that my Thomas had a wonky knee, but it also seemed kind of fine, so I really didn't know. Thanks to the post pointing out the L & R designations on the diecast knee joint, I confirmed that my copy has the correct knees. Good to put that mystery behind me. 

 

I have this same issue, I have some KiKi but just haven't got to it yet.

 

Managed to buy this guy for retail price so I'm happy about that. He's in my display cabinet now hehe. I do like to just look at them as I don't transform them. Seems like over here in Australia they aren't flying off the shelves at those marked up prices.

 

How much are they in Australia? I’m Aussie but in NJ so may get one sent to my mums

 

There is 2 Australian tf facebook groups u can join. TCCA and something like Australian Transformers Club. The cheapest I saw was 390AU.

 

Does anyone know what color grey will match Thomas? The paint on his waist where the legs collapse has started to come off..

@Necrobot the long thin piece on his chest in robot mode combines with the tail fin in shuttle mode.

 

I think he had trouble getting the backpack thrusters tabbed in shuttle mode that’s why he left it off. I had the same issue last night, finally got it after watching Emgo’s video...
