I want a Generations Ratchet who's a legit ambulance like in the films & cartoons. I get the medical "vans" he's been given recently is due to them being his G1 Alt Mode but come on, Ratchet deserves better. Make him an actual ambulance already.

 

My local ambulance service uses both the box truck and Mercedes van style Ambulances. So you could update and still keep the look.

 

Huh, that's pretty cool. I can see how those work. Guess I'm just getting impatient. I'm sure they'll make one eventually.

My go-to is a Commander Lugnut though.

 

There is a few more configurations, longer wheelbase and such, but I think you could pull off a Rachet with a "different" alt mode and keep his bot mode very similar to the G1.

 

Ooooooooh I like that first one. It'd be interesting to see how they incorporate the longer nose into a potential Robot Mode. Hasbro, take notes! XD

 

I’m still surprised they went with Black Shadow instead of Thunderwing when it came to that TR leader.

 

Could have been more work or they just didn't think the more square tank legs worked for Thunderwing.

 

So, I just recently got a Punch-Counterpunch from the Power of the Primes line and set him up next to my collection display and dang...he does not look great next to the Siege/Earthrise/Kingdom figures at all. Like he's all leg with most of his vehicle mode tucked into his giant feet, making his proportions really weird. Which is a shame because I had his G1 toy as a kid and loved it, and THAT looked more proportional.

I'd really like to see Hasbro take another crack at him at some point, but for now, he stands on display with everyone. I mean, we got a way better Hoist and Trailbreaker in Earthrise from their Generations counterparts.

Anyway...

What Transformers characters would you all like to see Hasbro take another go at making and why?

Aside from Punch-Counterpunch, I'd like to see the following...

Skids - While his Generations toy wasn't bad, It's based off his IDW look. I want one closer to his original toy look. Especially since we're getting a new Masterpiece version of that.

Gears - His last figure was a weak retool of a figure meant to be Swerve from IDW. Basically all they changed was change the colors to Gears and gave him a really tiny head. And Gears was supposed to apparently be in the Kingdom line as he appeared in promo art, but scrapped for now. So hopefully he'll come in whatever is after Kingdom maybe.

Wheelie - His Titans Return figure is good, sure, but that little non-transforming one that came with Studio Series Grimlock made me wish we could get a Studio Series version of the bot that CAN transform.

Buzzsaw - They made a figure of him for Titans Return Soundwave and the Fall or Cybertron Soundwave (those terrible disk shaped things). Where's his figure for the Siege/Earthrise Soundwave? He should have been included in that tape box set they did recently if anything over an orange Ratbat.

Those are the ones I can think at the top of my head right now (I'm sure I'll think of others later on).

 

Better combiners. I'm fine with the CW combiner joint system, but individuals made to the Siege/ER standards would be great.

Also, Wheelie and deluxe Sharkticons.

 

In no particular order:

Deathsaurus - I've never watched Victory, but Deathsaurus has a really cool design, and we could always use more Japanese original characters in the Generations line.

BW Inferno - There has never been a bigger fake-out disappointment in a TF line then when they announced that Kingdom was going to have Inferno in it... and then it turned out to be G1 Inferno. Yeah, I realize it was obvious in hindsight, but I REALLY want my fire-ant-bot! He's one of the last season 1 BW cast that hasn't had (and hasn't had announced) a new toy, and he's easily one of the most memorable characters in the show for me.

Armada Sideways - Now that Beast Wars has had some limelight, we really need to get some consistent Armada figures. And Sideways is BEGGING to get a new toy. I mean, we HAVE modern headmasters now, and a deluxe Sideways could come with two, one grey, and one black.

Bulkhead - It seems so bizarre to me that Lugnut got a really good Generations figure, but Bulkhead, the arguable big break-out star of that series, never did.

Lockdown - See above, but doubley so, since Lockdown's whole thing about harvesting parts and weapons from other bots would have been a slam-dunk PERFECT fit for the War for Cybertron trilogy. I'm mystified that no one thought of this.

Wishful thinking, but i would want a new, updated predaking. I would also like a tarn.

 

I don’t think we’ve had Tarn, so I’d be down for that. But Predaking is more likely to be reissued than remade.

 

1. Stunticons/Menasor - CW did OK in updating them individually, but the combined mode is it's biggest failing. I literally had to update this guy 2x!

2. Gears - I couldn't accept (nor purchase) that last Legends version. The head sculpt looked like they took Brawn's face and crammed it in Gear's face plate space. If they had just stayed closer to his character model, that would have been a one-and-done.

3. This is nit-picky, but The Insecticons, when comparing them to the aesthetics of the current trilogy. There's really nothing wrong with them as updated versions per se, save for the inconsistent purple and yellow hues.


4. and of course, the remaining Dinobots. Slag is coming, but are the rest?? Who knows!

Honorable mentions:
Goldbug - should be easy, just use the current Battlecharger mold!
Metroplex - THIS TIME make him LOOK like an actual city!
