No, I meant when the movies came out, Walmart, Fry's, Target, TrU all over-bought and had tons of shelf warmers, so now they under-buy so they don't get stuck with a bunch of clearance stock.

From talking with Target employees, it appears that at least Target seems to treat all figures of a given price point as, essentially, the same item. All $20 figures are just TRA GEN DLX. They won't automatically restock older TRA GEN DLX while they still have a bunch on the shelf. All those unpurchased Arcee, Warpath, Buzzworthy, and SS-86 Blurr peg warmers may in fact be preventing your store from restocking.

    Every retailer does.

They get sent to stores as an assortment. Stores also dont control restocks, its automatic. So if they have tons of stuff already, they wont just get new stuff.

Those employees gave you mostly correct info, but not quite. Kingdom is a new DPCI and doesn't pertain to any other line, but the point of the excess laying around is true. Buzzworthy is a Target exclusive, even if SS, so it shouldn't affect the others because it has its own DPCI set. SS and SS86 fall under the same DPCI, so they're the most accurate example of what the staff was telling you, but each line doesn't affect the other (nor should it) because they are registered as different products and different lines in the system. If they changed the Buzzworthy line to match up with regular SS/SS86, then they've made a terrible mistake and it's on Target to fix it.
