Got into model kit building last year but it's taken me that long to want to try a custom. So throwing together Nova. It's been a fun experience so far and one with a lot of learning. That white's been a bitch to figure out how to use. I'll be doing progress reports as goes. So far I've just got the head and neck, one arm and a couple of hands done. None of the colours are a perfect match for Nova buuuuut since no artist has even done him with the same colour scheme twice I don't think I'll worry too much
Weapons done. I'm priming the chest area next so that'll prob take a while...cause I only have 6 alligator clips XD
Man, this mould really shines in pretty much anything other than the original colours. Looks fantastic so far! Very clean.
Working on the torso today. Prob pics up later but I’m almost out of primer and the white paint that is a pain in the hole to work with . Might get the whole torso done tonight, might still have to take a break with a few pieces to finish while I buy more paint.
Torso done. Mid section cause a lot of problems . It’s chipped and that white paint is the devil. I like the look and colour breakdown but yeah. Practice needed.
Got my paints and primer sorted so back to this. Leg came together ok just have to remember which parts not to colour next time.
Finally done. A great learning experience. Lots of mistakes but really fun. Plus a good little kit too. Turns out when you customise a kit it can be quite fun. Plus Burcham’s colour palate works quite quite well.
I like how they progressively look more stylized as you look across the photo. Looks especially good with Nemisis. I like the red accents.
