I was just curious because the only figure from wave 3 Earthrise I ever saw at retail was Trailbreaker.
Walmart in Colerain near Ronald Reagan: 3-4 cases of Wave 2 Kingdom Voyagers on a pallet to be put out. (Would be roughly 6-8 Dinobots, and 4-5 Inferno's counting the Inferno already on the shelf) About 100 million SS86 Grimlocks between the ones on the shelf, top stock, and more cases on the pallets to be put out. (Seriously, the shelf had like 5, top stock had another 4, and then I counted at least 5 more sealed cases on the pallets) Had 1 Kingdom Leader case. I nabbed it off the pallet, took the Ultra Magnus from it, and put the Megatron on the top stock area with the sea of Grimlocks. Megatron looked good paint app wise, and know plenty of people still need Megs. Other than that, just some Cyberverse stuff on the 4 pallets of toys being put out that I saw. No Kingdom deluxes, Netflix Deluxes, or Headmasters that I saw. Edit: Definitely wasn't a Target. Lol changed to Walmart Edit Part 2: Hilariously enough, if you look in the top right corner of the picture I posted, you can see 1 of the at least 5-7 cases of Grimlock I saw on multiple pallets.
I'll agree. The Quintesson Judge never really existed as far as I can tell. Never saw Earthrise Wave 3 period at retail.
I did. Two cases at my local Target and one at a nearby one. ER Wave 3 deluxes popped up in droves in NW Columbus and in Logan near Athens.
I'm already dreading this Ultra Magnus hunt. If only they would stock Kingdom leaders half as well as they're stocking Grimmy.
I really want kingdom Magnus as well but I can understand why retailers selling to kids would prefer loading up the toy aisles with robot dinosaurs over a character most well known from a 35 year old cartoon. It's a shame robot dinosaurs have to be so freaking cool
I seriously don't know what it is with Studio Series, but that shit gets stocked to the GILLS. Like going into Christmas, the other Colerain Walmart had close to 20-25 Scavengers and Overloads. Now theyre stocking Grimlock heavily, I mean hell, ive even seen reports of Kingdom Dinobot and Inferno getting stocked to hell and back at stores. Can't tell if Hasbro is sending more, or Walmart is ordering more. Speaking of Grimlock: Meijer on Colerain Avenue had 2 more Grimlocks. Thats a restock, as they had a case of him a little under a month ago. There must be a TON of Grimlock to go around, as Meijer really doesn't restock all that often.
So now, I am just down to the Quint Drone, headmasters wave 2, and Air Razor/Huffer. That and Grimlock is considered Studio Series Wave 1 for 2021, whereas Magnus is part of Wave 2 of Kingdom (which means a LOT more orders for Grimlock after a HUGE layoff for SS leaders), but Kingdom has not TRULY hit saturation like Earthrise and Siege did. Like I have seen Wave 1 deluxes plenty of times, but the amount of times i've seen Primal, Cyclonus, and the leaders, are staggeringly low in comparison. I think ive seen SS86 deluxes more than most Kingdom figures, Hot Rod and Scourge to a lesser degree.
Avoid Mansfield area Wal-Mart's and Targets. Ain't nothing in them. Except 1 Paleotrex. (Which was my sighting. Lol). But I am headed out tomorrow to check out 2 used toy stores that on occasions have had new releases. Things they've gotten from other big stores to resell and bring in people. So keep fingers crossed.
Picked up Core Megatron at Fields Ertel at 2:30 ish. There were 2 Megs/Screamers when I left. One of those two Screamers I thought about buying but decided not to so not sure if its back in the aisle since I gave it to guest service
as far as I know, voyagers aren't out yet, and deluxes have not been in Ohio yet. I havent seen any stores in Cinci get more inventory.
Dayton - Dorothy Lane Walmart - a couple Netflix wave 2, some Cyberverse, Soundwave RED x 2. Dayton Mall Ollie's - just the little battlemasters. Rung and Slitherfang plus a two pack of Daddy-O & Trip-Up. None of those $20 leader figures. Rt 48 Crowne Plaza Marshalls - I found the one Cyberverse Slipstream they were allotted. It's under a jumble on the toy shelf. Dayton Mall Ross - nothing. And I mean slim pickings on any toys Dayton Mall Walmart - not much. Some Elita-1 figs. I did spot an Inferno hidden on the shelf not too far away. It was a good hiding place so I left it there.
Ferguson WM has a very healthy stock of ss86 deluxes and grimlock and wave 1 headmasters but absolutely no sign of Kingdom wave 2. They have one random instance of a netflix BB if anyone is still looking for it.
I lucked into everything except for Weird Wolf but had to do drive up to the Walmart of SR122. From your findings I think we are "partners" in the same areas- are you Northern Cincy? Like my "home base" is Bridgewater Falls
