Netflix Soundwave. One of the things that bugged me about this figure , besides how hard it has been to find, is the fact that he looked too stumpy and he's shorter than the Seige Soundwave.
After examining and taking apart the figure over the last few weeks I realized I could make him taller by moving up his knees pin hole up a bit. Had to then build out the supporting area, which was done with styrene and cuttable magnet straps. Lots of measuring, patience and drilling and the Soundwave is pretty much perfect in my book.
Lastly I took off his leftover "gun skids" and painted up some missing details. Cuttable magnet straps were sized to cover over the former pin holes beneath the new ones.

Height difference from the new longer leg vs factory height.

    Still transforms

Awesome mod. I've been thinking about picking one up, but I can't have my Soundwave be any shorter than Siege already is. Good to know.

Did the same with the arms but took off ALL of that junk and made arm filler panels. I also painted on a bunch of detail. What blue did you use on the door hinges?
Might have to do this leg mod too.
    Good work man.

Awesome that's great and clean work. I've been wanting to see if I want to remove the final arm kibble, since once it's gone you can't put it back but it has been sticking out to me so I think it's getting removed soon.
Like the arm filler too, I want to wait and see if any add on sets are produced as I'd like to fill up the gaps throughout the fig and maybe get a more accurate rifle as well.

    Edit:
Sorry I missed your question about the blue. It's a mixture of testors French blue , citadel macragge blue, xereus purple, and abbadon black.

Thanks man certainly didn't want to start hacking away until I found the most effective and less destructive avenue to make the adjustments.

I really need to remove those awful landing skids from his forearms too. HATE 'em.
