I appealed it when it happened and it was refuted so I ended up deleting the tweets and got my account back.

So I finally opened my Figuarts Ultraman: the animation figure from the Bluefin sale at the end of last year. I haven't bought any Ultra figures since Ultra Act and I figured the price was right. It's ok, but man I think I have problems with the design of the character: the helmet just seems off and it looks like he has a huge diaper and gigantic thighs. I wonder if that's the way it looks in the Netflix animation, because I don't remember noticing that in the manga.

Hmmmm, looks like this is the "official" Ultraman thread :p

I've just started getting into collecting the Ultraman vehicles :O

Starting off with some CV items like this...

    upload_2021-3-13_10-32-41.png

    (can't even find CV-01 anywhere!)

And thinking about getting the Mebius Gun Phoenix Striker...

    upload_2021-3-13_15-53-36.png

(though I can't find the 3rd unit on top)

But gosh this stuff is hard to find and expensive!!!

In today's showcase we have SH Figuarts King Joe. How would I describe it? Maybe what @Chosen feels about Ultra-Act Red King. I want to say it's good but the way it's engineered and the awful lack of accessories and display options makes it a very "Meh" to "Might Skip it" figure in my book. Right now it sits at the bottom of the Ultraseven characters I have. Pandon better make up for it.

I prefer the Ultra-Acts mold-wise. They are idealized designs (makes them feel more like non-human living beings) as opposed to the suit-accurate Figuarts. They were also more loaded in the accessories department.

So sad they had to end the line.

Personally, I love the King Joe Figuart, but I do agree he should have had some accessories with him.

I do wish King Joe at least came with a boat but I thought it was a decent figure. Long way from Red King’s thoughts where it’s a hideously-engineered figure to the point of inaccuracy to any version!

Pandon did not disappoint. By far this is the best Ultra kaiju in this line. Highly articulated and plenty of display options.

Ignoring the aliens and Ultra-Act, all is left are Antler and Showa Gomora.

    ===================

Tsuburaya is launching their own digital platform service "Tsuburaya Imagination".

Also Sevenger is getting his new series, which looks like it's based on Redman of all things!

@Chosen will hate me for this, but I just bought a Red King.

LOOK I'M SORRY BUT IT WAS AN OFFER I COULDN'T RESIST AND IT SHIPPS TO MY ADDRESS SO OF COURSE I HAD TO TAKE IT!

Okay it's used but so were Black King and Gudon and they both turned out okay.

The Q Collection Sevenger is so adorable... but so expensive for its size. Bums me out.

So I was told Red King is crap? I'm having more fun with it than what I had with King Joe. I mean, yeah, the joints aren't the best here but that doesn't stop him from bullying Gomora here:

Also I can now do this scene:

Red King can definitely do cool shit, he's just engineered in an ugly as hell way.
