A little info dump for you guys

Hasbro Pulse do have Hot Rod and Scourge in stock so any orders made will be fulfilled

Retailer wise they have really done us all in by giving everyone a tiny percentage this coming week and then delayed the rest of the Scourge figures until May and the 2nd drop of Rodimus until April. Really not good business practice and to top it off for Kapow they decided to sell the rest of our allocation of Mavericks without telling us first :)

Been an awesome week for all the indie retailers.

I hope you guys do okay with Pulse ( genuinely ) as I believe going forward that is where Hasbro will be concentrating their efforts.

That is real dirty on their part. I, for one am sticking with Kapow and ID for the most part (because Northern Ireland was also done dirty by Pulse).

Damn. That is... scummy. Really scummy.

Are you now evaluating your relationship with Hasbro uk? Will you go back to sourcing elsewhere?

As Art said, that bites the wet bag. Will be sticking with Kapow because you've always done right by me. What an awful load of crap to have to deal with, though. :(

Yeah, I loved the design of that head, which screams Marvel UK, but the price was just too damn high for me!

Afternoon Sir! A quick query and please excuse my ignorance around the legalities of running a business.

Do you have any recourse around this, my mind jumps straight to “breach of contract” but that sounds like a massive over simplification. This is not the first time they appear to have done the same to you or others either?

It seems they are other unable to fulfill orders to retailers and are accepting too many OR purposefully prioritising some retailers over others which doesn’t seem to make for much of a level playing field....

The problem for any Legal Recourse is your average Multinational has way deeper pockets, even a class action of Indie Dealers banding together would be majorly legally outgunned I'd wager.

As much as we've been clamouring for Hasbro to give the UK more focus....this is shite. I'd rather buy from Kapow anyway, you guys have been a pleasure to buy from for several years in my opinion.

Cheers fellas, the last few years has been shit since we went with Hasbro UK, I am more than honest that there has been an overall decline in getting things out to people, receiving deliveries etc etc and it stems from them not delivering what they promise and me putting up with it when I shouldn't have.

When it comes to our admin we have tried to be on point this last year but fallen down due to man hours, it's not an excuse just a reason that the delays and part shipments from Hasbro have resulted in an increase in admin we just couldn't cope with, We're finally getting back on our feet this year and have new things in the pipeline like new arrivals straight into stock regularly etc but going forward you guys should be concentrating on getting the best deal for you, It's so nice to see comments about people sticking with Kapow and I am super grateful but business is business and no one here would ever expect anyone to support us with blind loyalty. I have organised over £400'000 of new Transformers, Marvel and Star Wars items for in stock availability over the next 3 weeks so it's going to be a fun time, pre-order wise like I've said before we're not going to be offering a lot of slots until we get back to basics which will probably mean sourcing earlier at a slightly higher cost.

My job is to make sure we're doing the best we can and with Hasbro that just doesn't seem possible, the issue with the delays is one thing but selling stock on your own direct to consumer site and not delivering to your retailers until 3 months later is another. Kapow is big and ugly enough to keep on going but the smaller guys who have been talked into what should be a good thing are the ones I feel sorry for as this will be a hard and bitter pill to swallow particularly in the current situation with a ropey economy.

Like me or dislike me I always keep an eye on this place, I've only got about 2 people on ignore so if you need anything just tag me :)  just try not to be too personal like some folk have had a hard time doing this last couple of days.

I don't think I'll be moving him on, he's too lovely like you say. I think this T30 takara will go on my classics shelf alongside LG black arachnia and kingdom megs, and at some point I'll get an original waspinator to go on my BW shelf, since those are all original moulds anyway (except for kingdom ba and airazor when she arrives because the women should have proper figures, even though the basics airazor is still a nice figure.) Maybe the telemocha waspinator or the 10th anniversary version.

    Congrats!!

Woo! That's some good news! Fingers crossed you can continue like this!

That is really not on. I know I'll be sticking with the independent guys were possible. How can they just sell off your Mavericks if they've been allocated to you? Do you not pay for them until the order shipments arrive at your door, so if they pull a stunt like this, you're at least not out of pocket? Because if you pay when you order the shipments, then how can they legally do that? Wouldn't that be a breach of contract? Of course, I'm not expecting answers for confidentiality reasons but it's stunts like this which does make me reach for that tin foil hat again.

Also, the like was for the info dump itself, not what they did to you.

I’ve never had anything but good experiences with Kapow so you’ll always have my custom, Hasblow or not.

Thanks for all the info. I'm not impressed with Hasbro for their approach. They should be able to support their partners and run their own store.

For me it's not about blind loyalty but supporting independents so there is always a choice and better support when we want it.

I know there is always a strong desire to have the latest thing as soon as possible but I'm generally happy to wait if I can still get the same thing and have the option to visit a physical store when I can.

So these Beast Wars reissues...... I reckon a potential Inferno or Quickstrike fits in size wise pretty well with the new Kingdom figures - I already have them.
Terrorsaur and Silverbolt could do with being quite a lot bigger, but they’re both good looking toys and if they did them in a cartoon accurate deco then.... I think I need them. :)

Mate, he’s a chunky wee sex machine. A pocket rocket. I reckon Pipes is gonna be a looker too. Now I’m hoping for Brawn in the line after Kingdom cuz this aesthetic would really do wonders for him
