Mine is first batch as well.

The fact that you guys had yours on display, for so long, is what makes me believe its a humidity reaction and not a light exposure thing.
Also the parts that seem to yellow are the same across the board it seems: Several hinges on his back, the wrists, the internals of his shoulders and the ball joint...

The reason I moved is because of how humid the house was. You could basically see drops of water on the walls and it made my wife sick. So, honestly, I don't think humidity has anything to do with this.

Hm....Then we're back to step one....Oh well....Whatever it is, lets hope they fix it on the next batch (if and whenever it comes). Its too widespread by now for them not to know.

The best kind of oil is shock oil. But if you want, anything silicone based works perfect. Never use WD40 on plastics. It dries the plastic out from the inside and makes them very brittle.

If you mean IT-01. Mine is from first batch and I have noticed a few small parts have yellowed. Not all that noticeable unless you look for it, but it is there. Bugs me enough now I've seen it that when the new release comes, I will be getting it.

    Best Regards,

Yes, v2 has the knee and ab crunch fixed.
Although they just loosen the ab crunck screw.
The rest are very tight. You may want to loosen almost every screw on v2.

2 questions for anyone who can help!

    (1) Is there a way to get replacement parts? I screwed up the antenna while trying to straighten them, & I'm hoping to get replacements.

    (2) Anyone else have trouble getting the electronics to work? I put in 3 LR44s and the sound effects aren't working...
EDIT: Cancel that. Apparently there's a little switch on the right side that turns the sound effects off and on. Flipped the switch, and now the button makes the voice clips go. :)

I’ve got the ko. Don’t buy it. There’s far too many issues. Build quality wise you have a good chance of breaking it if you want to transform it and if you just want to display you lose too cause it’s got a stupid waist gap that throws off the look of the figure. I’d recommend either wait or see if you can get official for less than a mortgage payment.

No broken parts on mine, but theres stress marks on the inner calf panel hinges due to poor tolerance, so just be extra careful with those and you should be fine. Overall feels like the tolerance can be improved, but then again its a KO. Theres a lot of parts and fitting to take into consideration that Takara obviously spent a lot of time on. Also the rifle still doesnt fit in his palm, he can hold it just not securely. Thats all i have to complain, which is honestly not much. It really worth it just to get an MP sized optimus that looks decent on my shelf

Has anyone bought the V2 MP44 KO on taobao? If so who from? Are there any other sellers recommended specifically for KO's?

I know this thread is focused on the mp-44, but I wanted to get a mp-10 from ebay and I just started to think if there are visible differences between a possible original mp-10 and a KO, like some change on paint, or some extra feature or color change or similar, to make sure the figure is 100% original and not paying extra for a KO.

MP10 KOs typically have at least added silver on the feet, it's one distinguishing feature that seems to have carried over to the oversized KOs and to the undersized MP10V (which is a really great figure, but good luck finding it). I'd thought about the 1:1 MP10 KO, but it's pretty tough to find...and at the time I ordered the v1 MP44 KO, ol' MP44 was a little cheaper. ($98 for 44 vs. the typical $120 at the time for 10)

I ordered mp-44 KO from Terry TFS club. Says it’s the V2. Anything I should be aware of? Such as things that might break or come broken? I have TT MP-44 but man the paint on it just sucks, so I got the KO so I can actually handle it without worrying about the paint...

    Loosen a lot of screws.
Most of them are way to tight.
