I checked their site last night, ready to order but at almost 10$ CAD above normal prices for each... I'll pass.

Ok, I am in. Wish we would get a bit more out of the trailer, but that Rodimus looks as great as the SS86 does! Want to see comparisons with others so we can see the size...$80 gone!

The car mode is bulkier but damn it looks great, even better than Hot Rod to me. No paint for the hubcaps though... *sigh* way to make it look cheaper Hasbro...

Hate that it appears that they didn't do a better design for the arms again and he's got limited mouvement range... and not sure about the face, but Hot Rod's face is a piece of art, that's one thing I love about him.

BUT that trailer and gun is far from providing the "why" this is a commander, unless it'll be at a much lower price than Sky Lynx/Jetfire commander. No way that's worth the 100$CAD + price.

I still don't get the gaps on the tail pipes and front of car though.. why do they keep doing those small rectangular holes?

Agreed. I wanted something like that from the trailer (and that cannon is longer than I'd imagined) but if the figure itself is Voyager sized* then I hoped this gun platform would be the bare minimum with more besides, if this is going to be a Titan.

On the other hand if the figure is actually a leader sized character, then this is fine as is. (He won't be proportionally right with the others and would tower over Optimus, but I don't mind that..)

Of course there is the caveat that there may be other functionality we haven't seen yet.

I will say it all looks rather good.

Edit- looking again, I do think the vehicle would look better if the car were under the trailer further. I appreciate this might be the sacrifice needed to be made to have a proper fully formed car however.

* Yes I understand these designations don't just pertain to size anymore but I'm sure you understand what I mean.

 

Do you think the final version will have paint on the wheels? Seems like an odd thing to omit when even SS86 Hot Rod has it.

 

i dunno how i feel about the rodimus prime. the robot mode looks great though but the vehicle mode i'm not sold on. the 'car' part sticks out too far..as usual. he's essentially just a big hotrod again. kinda wish it was more integrated with the trailer or something.

 

Went to local Walmart and they literally had one Transformers figure. Last night I was messing with Warpath and I really like the mold and said to myself If I see one in store I’ll buy it for a custom well sure enough the only figure was Warpath for 18 bones so I scooped it naturally but now I need to decide who the repaint will be. At first I though bludgeon cuz I have an upgrade headsculpt for another deluxe bludgeon but then again a repainted warpath with a new name could be cool, I think for this one though I’m going to mod the tank barrel and make it look a little better!! Lmk any suggestions!

 

Since this is not Studio Series, I am guessing no silver on the wheels.
