So, how tall is that guy? Is he bigger than MP Ultra Magnus? Is he bigger than FT Phoenix??

In other news, after @TigerBlade gave me the advice on the Fans Style articulated hands for MP-17 Prowl, I wasted little time in shaving down the nubs so they could fit in the slot where MP-09 Rodimus Prime's old hands were.



What a difference these new articulated hands make!!

I don't understand how these Fans Style hands were intended for MP-17.. but they are FANTASTIC for MP-09!!

So while the articulation is above and beyond the capabilities of his previous hands, the important thing here is that..

HE CAN POINT!!

Finally figured out how to display Phoenix in jet mode since the flight stand that came with him is pretty much useless with a FT Swoop.
Built my own flight stand and wall- mounted it!

It's been 4-5 years since I have bought any MP scale figures, though the recent release of Unicron and the Studio Series 86 kind of got my itch back. Like many, Prime has always been my favorite character, though Ultra Magnus is a very close second, especially with the fact that he is a white Prime wearing a cool armor. I was awestruck years ago when Dreamwave depicted Ultra Magnus bursting out of its armor on the comic cover art and showcased him like that in the issue battling against Shockwave. Too bad when looking at my MP-22 Ultra Magnus in my cabinet, he can't really do that. Nor is there a MP style G1 Magnus figure I know of that can do that either. So I took some time this past weekend and made this piece, sort of fill that void in the meantime, until one day our MP G1 Ultra Magnus figure can actually do the same.

 

That is beautiful!
