Ah, okay, must've missed that amongst all the CGI goin' on.

That said, I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this. She definitely gives off evil vibes to me, from her Salem scene to the Agatha All Along bit to her "dungeon" below the house. She just seems to be having too much fun with it. And, given that we're talking about fictional characters in a fun universe, it's not really worth getting into some long series of quote-by-quote posts trying to convince the other about something that's ultimately trivial.

Also, I didn't realize until today that she also played Dr. Octopus in Into the Spider-Verse. I KNEW I recognized that voice...

Anyone else think people are way too salty over Evan Peters’ role? Like, it’s explained why he’s not who they led us to believe, and yet people still say it was the worst thing in the whole MCU. Wanda can warp reality around her, but they never explicitly stated she can’t tap into the multiverse as far as I’m aware.

Was it cheeky to cast Evan Peters as a fake to throw us all off? Yes, but it worked didn’t it? I get being disappointed in that, but people are being way too damn stingy over it. If one side character’s plot point ruined the entire show for you, I have to question if you were even paying attention to what the show was even about.

It’s called WandaVision, not Wanda brings in the X-men from the multiverse.

Personally, the only thing I wasn’t a fan of in the finale was the CGI battle where Wanda and Agatha fly around. Besides that, I thought it was a pretty good conclusion for the show that it was. Only other thing is Vision flying out of the show, but it’s the MCU, you know they’re not gonna just leave it open ended.

    Worked to what?

I don't care about Evan Peters being a bait and switch, but what really was the point of his character? He didn't really cause Wanda any emotional strife, and her grief over her brother's death wasn't really much of a plot point. I don't get what fake Pietro really added to the plot, and he didn't factor into the finale at all.

Honestly I have no skin in the game since I could couldn’t care less about the Fox stuff but it was a really stupid move in my opinion. Because there is literally no pay-off. You are setting up at least 2 definitive ideas that lead ultimately to nowhere. It’s literally impossible to not disappoint fans. The result is automatically reductive it’s the only possible outcome it’s not replaced with something else interesting or fun its just a dumb gag, not remotely satisfying. Still love the show but that was questionable decision making.

when Agnes 'woke' them in the square and acknowledged feeling her pain, Wanda does apologize and says it will end. Before she leaves, Wanda says the townfolk shouldn't forgive her even if it was an accident.

All I know, MCU had to stop having Wanda and Vision saying goodbye!

From my point of view the character and casting was used as an attempt to throw off the audience from the truth as well as Agatha attempting to manipulate Wanda. However, I do agree that by the end of the show his purpose seems nonexistent. Thinking back on it, it’s possible it was Agatha’s way of diffusing the argument between Vision and Wanda, as Vision was attempting to discover the truth of their situation.

Admittedly, the character itself wasn’t necessary, I just think the overall reaction of his “storyline” conclusion has been blown out of proportion.

This. It was a fun bit of creative casting and got people talking. A lot of people didn't wait to see how things played out. I think it was genius and ballsy.

I don’t know ... it kept us guessing, which is something I welcome these days.

I hate when I watch something and can easily predict what will happen next before it happens.

One thing I forgot to mention I really loved was
that scene when Witch attacked Agnus from behind. She contorted her body like a Japanese ghost girl and it was freaking awesome.

You must have really hated when Kat Dennings hit Hayward with the truck then lol. It might have been my biggest eye-roll in a year.

I agree though keep us guessing it’s absolutely my favorite part of the whole thing. And I have yet to be annoyed when it doesn’t go the way I thought. I am completely satisfied with WandaVision I thought it was brilliant from the TV show concept to the music, I loved the emotional hit. And most of all they accomplished the most important thing, they expanded universe with interesting characters and left the MCU in a better place..

Regarding Pietro, again, I don’t give a shit about the X-Men. I just think that whole thing was destined to fail. They teased the multiverse, nothing. They got people guessing about Ralph, nothing. But teasing the X-Men fans and then giving them the finger seems ill advised. And in case I haven’t made myself clear I hate the fucking Fox X-Men stuff, even Jackman Logan fuck all of it, it sucks. But why tease the fans and then give them the finger? I ain’t one of them but you know it seems like a bad idea from a marketing perspective. I am not surprised they are pissed they baited them and laughed in their face, that can’t feel great. It’s not like those fans pulled some wild shit out their collective ass, the writers obviously expected those fans to connect those dots. Then “Ha, ha fuck you idiots.” It’s your fault fans for thinking what we made you think. What did they expect?

Show fell apart with episode 8, went from amazing to almost average, I dunno what it is but the final episode really sucked.

Right, I loved Pietro in the X-Men movies, I just kinda liked his inability to never get overly excited/care about much because that logically stemmed from being so fast all the time. "Oop, gotta save everyone again. Might as well have fun."

And the reason I'm (a little) salty over it is because he ended up being Joe Nobody. Like, I didn't seriously think they were actively bringing in Fox Quicksilver into the MCU, but I thought (initially) either it was a construct of Wanda's imagination and we'd see Magneto and have a brief fake "family reunion", or it was Agatha's comic pal Mephisto, or something. But to have him be Joe Nobody was a little disappointing for me. It honestly would've made more sense to bring back the actor from Age of Ultron and having Wanda sorta bring him back from the dead for a bit of a tearful reunion before he faded out at the end (since we found out she can create complete people from nothing). At least then we'd have some minor character closure.

Well yeah that’s ultimately my point, that’s the fuck you. The reveal was just dumb. They would have been better off leaving it ambiguous. Instead it’s a cheap diversion at a group of fans expense. And worst of all it’s just pointless from a story perspective. It was a bizarre decision.

    Great fun!
Me and my gf waited for the whole show to be out so we could binge watch it over the weekend.
Went in without reading any spoilers or leaks, so didn't have any expectations.

Regarding Piedro, I thought it was fun to have the Fox actor resume the role of the Quicksilver for a bit.

Thorougly enjoyed the show! Can't wait to binge Falcon & The Winter Soldier in a month or 2.

Wanda's final Scarlet Witch costume looked okay IMO.

It's worth noting that Elizabeth Olsen specifically wanted a costume that would not look foolish and show off too much flesh. I find it a bit sad that her classic costume was turned into a gaudy Halloween costume (along with Vision and Pietro's classic outfits too TBH).

Personally, my favourite Scarlet Witch costumes are the Uncanny Avengers outfit and the "All New All Different" outfit. One has a coat-leotard look, and the other has a distinct but dignified female look.

Yeah I did not care for her final costume, I think that needs some major work, it’s a real fallback to the 1st Avengers movie level of costume design. Also who did that to her hair? Elizabeth Olsen’s hair is the real tragedy of the final episode.

Although the Gypsy costume shows way too much skin the design elements make way more sense for her character.

I really think they should put some Eastern European elements in her costume. Supposedly she’s from that part of the world, why not tie in some of the aesthetics. I think it would make the universe look more authentic and differentiate Wanda from other superheroes. Dr. Strange looks like a sorcerer, Wanda shouldn’t look like some generic hero. Make her unique.

No kidding, it was a really weird design choice especially since it goes back to straight whenever she's out of it.

That's actually a really good idea. Though I still think the biggest issue is the head piece being too damn small. It looks so tiny and silly like a kid's costume being worn by an adult.

I just take it as another way to tease fans about the X-Men. Feige was never going to bring the actual Fox characters in. Why should he?
