MMC said that they would come this year, but didn't have a date. That being back in November, which I believe was our latest comment up to now.

Well that explains it. Agabyss has them listed for a February 2021 release date and its pretty spotty as far as other retailers carrying the reissue.

Not anywhere retail. He usually shows up on eBay for around $150-$200 every so often.

Yeah I was lucky to find him online for cheap do to him having two left feet. But I contacted Mmc and they sent me the right foot for him. I unfortunately missed out on deadpool drift. Money was tight at that time and I already had drift so I was like I just can't afford it. Now it's online for like $400 and I will never pay that much for a (toy) transformer.

Has there been any word of MMC considering doing a Superion? Or any other combiners for that matter?

Cancelled my pre-order for Vos. I think I will 100% pass on him and TorTor. I'm okay with not completing the DJD, I have the figures I wanted most. Tarn, Helex, with Kaon and The Pet on pre-order.

And because I put in pre-orders for Optus Pexus and Cylindrus. :D

Fun toy, but aesthetically a representation of Stormbringer/chaos theory rather than MTMTE. I keep mine on the wreckers shelf.

    I just adore the figure!
It was my 1st MMC and it sucked me in, deep.
Sure, this is NOT the Lost Light Whirl - not at all.
But it's the best Whirl there is in regards to soul of the toy, articulation, possibilities to display and whatnot!

The guy is just fucking awesome...to me.

Turben is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite MMC figures in terms of playability, transformation, and posing. But he's not MTMTE Whirl - definitely more Stormbringer-ish. If you're looking for a decent MTMTE Whirl and have a 3D Printer, check out @HightailStd Whirl on Cults3D. But also, Turben is a ton of fun and still looks great on the shelf, even with my other MTMTE figures.

I do appreciate my MMC DJD. I will even more when Vos and Kaon arrive.

But for a few others I was comparing IDW designs. How would a Flames Toys Megatron or Hot Rod stack up against Calidus or Tyranatron? (doing these MMC names from memory). I know Flame Toys won't transform, but those $40 model kits look tempting just to try. How would they stack up scale wise?

There isn't much IDW stuff outside MMC so just looking for alternatives. I swore the DJD would be all I would get, but now I'm looking for maybe a few of the Lost Light crew that would scale good.

Flame Toys Tarn looks excellent, but the MMC version met my budget much better.

They’re definitely smaller than their MMC counterparts. Not sure how much but probably not the same scale.

They’re shorter. By about 2-3 inches depending on the figure. FlameToys kits are about 6” tall and the MMC “Voyagers” are anywhere from 7-9” or so.

Here’s Calidus with FlameToys Megatron and Drift. For the record, Calidus is about 2” shorter than Tyrantron.

So I have Turben (Whirl) and Calidus (Rod) on pre-order and it looks like Whirl could drop any minute on BBTS. It took me a while to sort of warm up to the figure and the colors but it looks like this one is definitely worth checking out. For $85, I figure it couldn't hurt to grab it since I really like the MMC quality and have loved what little I have.

I decided I would rather grab a couple of different bots as opposed to preordering that Xtransbots Springer.

I have MMC Springer and Impetus and I'm not sure how they would scale out? I'm guessing the reformatted and the Perfection Series are different since they are all a different wavelength entirely?

Ocular Max (e.g. Springer (Saltus) and Vortex (Impetus)) are Takara MP-scale for the most part, and they scale with MP10 Optimus Prime.
Reformatted is a slightly smaller "big voyager" scale, similar to Hasbro's Thrilling 30 Springer. Personally I don't think figures between the Ocular Max line and Reformatted line scale well together, nor do their design cues mesh well (Reformatted is usually more detailed and stylized, OM has simpler textures and more toon-accurate sculpts and aesthetics).
