Poor Optimus needs some patch work done on him. Man If I had the money to buy it and repair everything I would so do it lol.

 

I saw some photos of a guy's amazing transformers man cave, and he had a big long custom carpet/rug of the optimus trailer white and blue striping pattern. It basically led you down into his collection, which was one the must impressive g1 displays I've ever seen.

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like the Marmon a bit better. Obviously the Freightliner is gorgeous (and I definitely prefer that one's paint job), but I like the squareness and the proportions of windshield, grill, and headlights of the Marmon a bit more, even though it's technically less-accurate to G1 Prime. I especially think the wider grills make the truck look more powerful. I'd love to see this truck in the G1 colors in a future movie. Something about it feels a bit more cinematic to me.

But either way, I definitely think they plan to get their own prop for future movies. Optimus only appeared in a few shots in Bumblebee for one scene, it would have been silly to invest in a prop just for that. Especially since originally it was arguably more of a symbol than literally Prime himself (which of course was changed when they added the scene in the woods).

so if their selling the bumblebee movie truck that means optimus will be a different truck... but nobody is talking about this so im gonna have to say it Motormaster is gonna be in this no doubt if Optimus is a different truck so then motor master will be that truck but in different colors 

 

I wouldn't read into this too much. If they want to, they could recreate an identical prop of this exact same vehicle. Like I said above, they likely borrowed this truck because it only appeared in a few shots in Bumblebee. It would have been a pointless waste of money to build their own prop for such a small amount of screentime. Especially since at the time of filming, this was a prequel to the '07 movie and Optimus wouldn't have been hanging around on Earth for too long (meaning they probably didn't expect to do a sequel). So they just borrowed a guy's truck and painted it to look like Optimus. If Optimus has a larger role in the next movie, they will almost surely build their own prop, like they did with the other movies.

And I definitely think they could end up changing the design a bit or even changing the type of truck. But I don't think this is really any indicator of what direction they'll go. Like I said, they could easily recreate this at Paramount if they wanted.

Throw some Autobot symbols in the right spot and hit the CON and Auto show circuit. Hopefully, make back the purchase cost and expenses.

Literally just got in an argument with my wife about me wanting to buy this right now. It’s been my dream for the past 21 years since I restarted collecting... but truly since 1984. I just never thought it would be possible.
