So given that toylines start development a couple of years out I thought it'd be good to start talking about this now. This started over in the post wfc speculation thread, but seems like it deserves its own thread.

So I like the idea that this isn't just a celebration of G1. I'd like it to celebrate all 40 years of transformers. So let's assume we get forty figures in 2024. Who do you want? What else do you want from an anniversary line? For instance, I'd like them to keep the scaling that we have going now. And I know we don't really know what's coming in 2022 or 2023. But start your list now and in 2024 you can look back and see who you got. And there's nothing saying you can't change. Let's talk about a huge celebration coming soon!

I would love to see G1 Ironhide and Ratchet done in a style to better match their cartoon look, BUT done to match the rest of the 80's G1 figures. Diecast and all. I know this will never happen and I pick them because they're easy retools of each other. I don't hate the G1 original figures, but I think that could be something special for those of us that always wanted our figures to look like the ones on screen. Again, I don't think it will happen but it would be really cool, and that's my vote.

 

Something other than straight updates of old toys. I want an anniversary homage more like what Sentai does.

If be ok with any accessories tbh, but he has to be voyager class. I love the generations mold but he’s way too small. Plus I want his paint job to be cartoon accurate.

 

I'd do two figures for each major line - one Bot/Maximal and one Con, plus two additional pairs for G1 since it ran 7 years through a few styles. One pair wouldn't properly illustrate the evolution the line went through in its 7 year run.

A return to Pre WFC style of releases.

Like Titans Return, I want a unifying aesthetic with a focus on world building. More decepticons than autobots, and much more wild approach to character choices sort of like how we got Black Shadow as a leader class figure.cover characters from all generations, be creative, hell id be happy with new characters.

Give me more size classes as well and weapon packs. It’s incredibly disappointing that kingdom did away with the battle master size class.
