The random black "shattered glass" is just odd on a figure this size and seems a risky move.
G2 set would be much more likely to sell IMO and I'd be fighting my wallet again

Yes it is the metallic version.

The partsforming legs/waist seems to be free of scratches/chips.

The head sculpts are both clear of marks/scratches.

I checked the feet and the toon chest piece (quite heavy that) and are clear of marks/imperfections.

I’ve looked over Silver Arrow (Silverbolt) and appears free of scratches/marks.

I’ve still got 4 more to check over. I suspect the members of the team that have more colour (especially black) may show more blemishes if they are present.

I will post a photo of the team later today. Ultimately I bought this for combined mode.

Talk about a ton of bad luck....I collect SG Autobots and I had POed the Metallic just because, never believed such a version would see the light of day and here we are....As soon as POs for the black one get up, and I receive the Metallic, I am offloading him as is, sealed (wont even open the ShowZ box)....

I prefer to think of black recolors as evil clones/Nemesis versions of characters and more unique color schemes for Shattered Glass.

 

Is it too much to ask for them to just do a toon accurate version like their miniatures are, but in MP scale?

Still wondering why they did that to Fireflight's face   shame cos your shots have helped the face sculpts grow on me. Sure they're not TT/FT tier but they're good enough. Colours look so much better as well.

I never realized I needed a Nemesis Superion in my life until just now. That's pretty slick looking.

 

A black Concorde would have to fly slower. Being painted bright white is actually part of their design, for heat reflectance. (And SR-71's are black for basically the same but opposite reason/effect)

 

He can be called here as Nemesis Superion or simply Hyperion.

 

A new repaint is making me reconsider getting the metallic and try to hold out for a G2 version.
