Just bought the Stasis Pod Models on Cults3d. Looking forward to giving it a print. Most of the parts are cut small enough that I can even give it a go on my resin printer. Looks like the only parts that will absolutely need to be made in FDM is the lid, glass and protoform.

Thank you for the support! Yes, the design approach will always be to cut things down as small as sensible to allow for more folks to be able to print them on smaller volume machines. But think we also left in a full sized one in case one has a larger 3d printer :)

Was wondering if anyone would be game to try making the lid with vacuum-forming actually :p

Do have fun 3d printing the piece!

Oh boy, was this a fun little excursion by the Preds as they went to hunt down the sleep-prowling Maximals..... in style!

Never one to underdo things, Megatron and crew managed to find the time and inclination to put together an entire hunting palanquin. A hunting drum for Blackarachnia completes the set, and gives the tribal beats to set the mood!

    Palanquin01.JPG

    "Careful, you bumbling twit!"

Can't wait for Scorponok to be released next so that this can be a tad more accurate? :p

    Palanquin03.JPG

Tarantulas heading up the rear of the palanquin ...

    Palanquin04.JPG

Here's how the set looks sans the Predacons...

    Palanquin05.JPG Palanquin06.JPG

A bit of handicraft was required with the white tiger stripped paper cutouts and the black rope lashings to give it that final rustic tribal look

    Palanquin07.JPG

Well then, it didn't really help with the Pred's hunting mission, but was all in good fun anyway :p

Adding on to the series of display pieces from within the Axalon - here comes the main computer terminal for our Maximal pals!

    Terminal01.JPG

A fairly large piece, the terminal sports a ton of monitors and display screens which were used to guide the bots on their space (and now earth-bound) adventures! The terminal is flanked by two massive pillar pieces, which do seem to also provide structural support to the ship itself.

    Terminal02.JPG

Have left all the screens in this piece unpainted for now but they can definitely be decorated with all sorts of fun terminal displays and status readouts.

    Terminal03.JPG

. Taking a closer look at the centre controls, there are the familiar handpads for control, and various buttons and guages. the left and right of the screen also sit the "mic" and "globe" (or is that a webcam?) of the terminal. A very familiar web-conferencing setup no doubt ... :p

    Terminal04.JPG

Here's the terminal with the earlier Axalon Crew Seat in position! Ready for any of the heroic Maximals to take the helm.

    Terminal05.JPG

    Terminal06.JPG

And, now for some shots with our stalwart band of Maximals too, for when they are checking in on what the Preds are up to!

    Terminal07.JPG

Adding on the Axalon Main Computer Table from earlier brings the display further along to completion.

    Terminal09.JPG

The scene's just not complete with Rattrap and Dinobot bickering around the table as they are wont to do :p

    Thank ya all! =)

Well, they come as digital 3d print files so can definitely be up-scaled before getting 3d printed ;)

Now then, to further flesh out the Darksyde base - here's the Command Chair and Computer Globe used by oh mighty leader of the Predacons - Megatron! Yessssss...

Was going to be tough to have this hanging from a top piece, so instead did a simulated floating command chair

    MegChairGlobe01.JPG

Here's what it looks like with the computer globe on its side. Used a 6cm clear christmas ornament sphere in place for the globe. Could probably have printed a small axalon and stuffed in it there :p

    MegChairGlobe02.JPG

Here's the same setup from another angle. Fun fact - the piston on the arm of the globe computer actually slides in and out depending on the angle the arm is put to.

    MegChairGlobe03.JPG

And of course, Megatron needs to take his seat to plan for his next attack on the pesky Maximals!

    MegChairGlobe04.JPG

Prepare to take on the Axalon, Predacons!

The detailing is nice, I like the functional piston. Reminds me of when they put details like that in the ROTF line.
No Darksyde is complete without Megatron’s collection of commemorative Axelon snow globes.

Here's a fun little piece to help Waspinator celebrate the momentous end of the original Beast Wars series.

    WaspinatorThrone03.JPG

After all the dust from the conflict had settled, it was Waspy here who saw through it all and manage to find his contentment and happiness at last :p

    WaspinatorThrone02.JPG

Flanked by the fawning primitives, here's a drink to the good life!

    WaspinatorThrone04.JPG

All's well till the next time ~

From Tarantulas' zany science-y brain comes this evil contraption to trap and drain the life force out of the captured Cheetor!

    TarantulasTerminal01.JPG

Right over here, Tarantulas sets the maximum drain level to suck all the life force out of the trapped feline!

    TarantulasTerminal02.JPG

The terminal sits on a pair of treads, which should make for easy moving around if needed. Of course, wires stick out of the back haphazardly!

    TarantulasTerminal03.JPG

A little port on the bottom allows for this to be connected to the web portion also via a short segment of rubber tubing.

    TarantulasTerminal04.JPG

The web portion is held up by two side pillars, and can be mounted nicely upon a pair of Cyberbase System base tiles. Then it's just a matter of using some wires to attach the hapless Cheetor onto it!

    TarantulasTerminal05.JPG TarantulasTerminal06.JPG

"Soon, you'll be all drained out and ready for feasting uopn!"

    TarantulasTerminal07.JPG

Luckily Rattrap is soon around to the rescue!

    "Incorrect energy signature...."
"Guess I'll have to use my own energy signature!" ;)
