You can fill that box with 50 guns for all I care, I pay for figures not a glorified accessory pack where $30-$40 of value will just be thrown into a drawer. apparently the size of earthrise prime.
It would be a bit redundant, though I did personally really like the play-pattern of the Siege Leaders, so it would've been kind of neat to see Hot Rod incorporate that if plans went a different direction, especially seeing what the commander size class could accommodate. As it is it doesn't sound like the trailer has any kind of feature like that though (didn't folks say it was a battle platform like in the original toy?), so oh well.
The battle station trailer has always underwhelmed me. I like it better when they do the cartoon transformation. Same with ultra magnus.

It's a battle platform. I was hoping it'd be the G1 platform but then also have a brute mode for Rodimus. Similar to how Lynx had a base mode added to beef up his catbox.
Yeah, definitely still waiting for Stormbringer Thunderwing. I have the deluxe, but commander would be cool. Or leader. Or leader size but commander class lol
It’s entirely reasonable and entirely logical, and it is utterly confounding that someone would try and suggest otherwise. This current design team has been well known for part reuse and modification of prior toys. See Siege Optimus to Earthrise Optimus. This is a similar case. The parts are in the same place or have the exact same shape in many instances (hinges on legs, placement of forearm in robot mode, the sculpt on various parts of the body). I have enough information based on these pictures to make an assumption. And the prices make sense: $30 voyager, with a small trailer for earthrise prime - $50 leader price point. $30 voyager with a larger trailer with a fold out cannon and other comprehensive features - $80 commander price point. As I said, if I’m wrong I’m wrong, but I can make an analysis based on the design team’s past actions and any available information as I’m doing now. You don’t have any evidence that the size is bigger, the pictures doesn’t show the ss86 figure next to the new one. All we have is the one picture showing the bot mode and the small car mode. That’s it. It seems likely that some of the new parts are intended to increase his height as the character is larger, thus his feet are definitely thicker and maybe other parts like the thighs are longer as well. We don’t have enough information to say the figure is extensively larger, though.

Awww! I reiterate my .... not quite love, but... I dont know... full amusement with that figure. If I was seven, it would be absolutely tickled pink with it. I think we need to remember that these figures are mostly made for 7 year olds, and not middleaged drones from sector 7g who'se souls dried out years ago and who have forgotten what delight is.
The reason that Earthrise Prime reusing engineering from siege prime would make since is because it's supposed to be the exact same character. Rodimus is supposed to be a larger than hot rod and it makes way more since to assume that this figure is larger than hot rod.
