For Prowl, you want to angle the panel on his abs forward a bit, like 5 or 10 degrees before bringing the hood down. If the panel is straight up, it won't clip into place.

    Hope they helps.

    Wow, that's a stunning picture!
It looks like a 3D render. Very crisp!

Hey everyone! I'm new to these forums and TF collecting. I was wondering if and how often does Takara Tomy reissue their Masterpiece figures? Anyone have any insights to that? Been trying to track down a lot of the beast wars ones. Seems like I'm a bit late into the game. Thanks.

I realize I'm perpetuating discussion about a non-MP in a MP appreciation thread, but that photo is fantastic. What are you using as a base/background?

Just a white curved dining chair. I do use photoshop to tweak the colors and contrast, and clean up some background flaws. Usually the figure I don't mess with. But a nice large piece of curved white cardboard would do a fine job as backdrop, if you don't want to do any digital clean up.

Mandarake has a bunch. It is a very big used toys chain in Japan, where you can order toys from their website, in case you don't know. Just look through their current inventory and see if they have what you want, and see if the price and condition is good. Very often you can find brand new or near brand new items there. Price do vary depend on popularity of the item. Their inventory also changes very often, as they are a chain of physical stores, and people trade in new and used toys there in Japan on a daily basis. If you are buying multiple items, make sure you try to order them all from the same shop location, or you will end up paying multiple shipping cost if you spread out the items from 2-3 different shops in different cities.

The Magic Square is an amazing figure, but the pearlescent paint is very easy to scratch and damage. I haven't transformed my copy because of that.

    Welcome to the boards.

For any Beast Wars reissues, Primal and Cheetor have seen re-releases and may be on the back burner for a possible cycle. No word on Megatron as of yet while Blackarachnia and Tigertron are still relatively new. I’m hazy on Dinobot. I know he had shoulder issues so I’m not if he had a release with the fixed shoulders. That was one I didn’t pay too much attention after I bought him. I know there are others here that have clearer info than what I can remember.

Beyond that, there doesn’t seem to be any logic to the re-release schedule of Takara.

Welcome! I don’t know much about what determines when older releases get reissued, but I can direct you to robotoybase as a good seller that still has a decent amount of beast wars stuff. I just bought a Dinobot from there and the service was good. Might take a bit to get a tracking number and everything but the guy that runs it is good about responding to emails (at least in my experience)! Hope that helps you out! I recently made the decision to go in on the beast wars MPs too, so I’m in the same boat you are haha! From one collector to another, I wish you luck finding all the figures!

Also if/when you end up getting Dinobot, peaugh’s video review has some great tips for an easy shoulder fix!

Please keep the third-party focused talk to the relevant 3P section. This thread is to celebrate and discuss the official HasTak Masterpieces.

I don’t know which continent you’re on, but TFSource in Nevada now has BW Dinobot for sell. Not sure if it’s a second release or some stock mysteriously discovered from a dusty corner, but he could be had for the very, very low price of $429.

I think some of these retailers may be trying to put scalpers out of business.

I'm in the US. But holy moly. $429 is more than MP-43 Megatron! I'm guessing scalping is standard in this hobby? Haha. Thanks for the info though!

Tfsource is pretty bad about it lately @Oslandius , especially when they know no one else still has them in stock

generally the prices are not inflated by stores.

in fairness it's not like some of this stuff dropped this month, we're talking in some cases 2 or 3 years ago. Inferno was 2016, if they can come up with a MISB one at this point more power too them.

That's true. But sometimes there's reissues. Last month Big Bad Toy Store had Inferno for preorder at the $140 price point. Sadly I missed him and paid Tfsource's price

I'm always confused about the BBTS "reissues" that only they have pop up,especially when nothing has been officially announced via Takara or other retailers for HA reissues.
