Lots of 3p designs are known for their efficient and clever engineering. Post design choices you think are cool here!

    Photos too...

The first one that really blew me way was Unique Toys Peru Kill.

gt j4zz has magnets in his hip flaps to holster his gun in bot mode or keep his doors "tabbed" in alt mode

    Thats actually cool.
Lol. I think their stunticons were pretty good at ... Literally hiding every bit of car kibble in robot mode.

All other figures I transform solely to get them from one form to another. This is the single figure I transform for the fun of transforming it.

    All of UT's Bayverse bots.
Each of them is a joy to transform and still look good in both modes.

MMC Saltus. The only Springer somehow as straightforward as the G1 version.

FP Code - Specifically the transfer of the roof/windshield from one side of the bot to the other

Edit: Whoops, I meant the chest. I haven't messed with this figure in ages, but decided to pull him off the shelf today cause this thread made me think of him. Shame about the lack of ankle rockers though...

It really does have a pretty good transformation.

I like the way MMC’s MP Azalea has the lower half of her legs fold up inside the upper legs. That’s really well done.

MMC Optus Pexus piston hinges knee/elbow bend. I’m sure a lot of other companies have done this too to varying degrees on their products but OP is the first figure where I feel that it was executed beautifully and looks super natural.

UT Dragoon fitting the entire wings in the legs is awesome, but then again almost everything it does is fantastic. Same goes for Challenger and Peru Kill and hopefully for Nero.

GCreation Wrath is fantastic in how it goes from an accurate T. Rex form to an accurate robot mode. The way that the robot mode legs transform is especially cool.

Studio Cell’s Unicron is all around amazing. It can be a bit of a hassle at times but the engineering is genuinely stunning.
