If you’re wanting an actual vintage toy, you’ll also have to deal with cracking tires. The tires on my old Inferno and Grapple have nearly all split.

If you don’t mind it not being vintage, you could go with a reissue. Both Takara and Hasbro have put out reissues for G1 Inferno, and they’re almost indistinguishable from the original, other than the tampographed Autobot symbol. The plastic quality on reissues can be slightly less than vintage, but there’s less chance of yellowing and cracked tires, plus they’re cheaper.

Wrapping up my series on the Combaticons.

These are my personal favorite iterations of these figures. The colors (mostly) are more realistic and they compliment each other very well. The decos meshed with the designs of each of these characters makes for a very good and very commanding style. They have a very powerful presence about them, especially when grouped together on an aircraft carrier. But, most especially when they’re all combined.

BRUTICUS!!! One of the more awesome Combiners, Bruticus is a very intimidating robot. Not too bright, but incredibly strong, Bruticus is the very definition of ‘aim and fire’ and destruction will follow.
The armored chest plate is a nice centerpiece. And I think it’s cool that all the weapons can combine/attach when they’re all combined. Definitely the best looking version of this set, IMHO.

As usual with G1 Combiners, articulation is extremely limited. Mostly constrained to just the arms and head. He can at least, ya know, ‘aim and fire.’ For Bruticus, that’s enough really.

Very glad to finally have this set in my collection. I’ve always been a fan of the Combaticons ever since “Starscream’s Brigade.” And now, also, my Defensor has his nemesis. Also, they look really good on an aircraft carrier, I’m glad I bought this play set.

Grotesque. It's too bad he wasn't in the TV show and in the Transformers Regeneration comic he was just another body to be thrown into a pit.

    e-Hobby Ga'mede and Magnificus! :)

I bought e-Hobby Overcharge (also came out in 2005) about a decade ago instead this, but apparently never forgot about it. :p

Got a fair deal on this set since the box had some damage.

I totally plan on opening him up, so win-win!

they look like the molds used in LH toys (leader shine)! They look nice, I'd be interested if you ever decide to part with them.

Painted the S1 head on my MP44 KO, and added the G1 toy bits to Megatron too, brings them nicely in line with the G1 toys in the display.

It's a Titans Return figure in a very convincing G1 styled box. And you've got nothing to be sorry for, it's just a mistake.
