I think most of the problems with Kup/Locke falling apart is because of being a member of the elderly. Even new he suffers from old age. It’s just Xtransbots being that thorough.

Welp. Don't transform it. It was fine until then. 3 broken wheel well covers, scrapped paint on the neck, and overall the figure got 10x looser. Got it back in robot and stuck the broken pieces in and email xtb. I followed Ben's video and had no issues getting the head in, until I saw it scrapped paint on the neck.

Target master for hot rod came with the backward hand grips. In general, they feel like cheap shit. I had heads and feet popping off, and nothing tabs in or fits.

 

Totally with you on the target masters although I mentioned that on FB and had someone telling me I couldn't complain because G1 TM Cyclonus had a target master that broke easily....

You read that right  

Won't go into it further as off site but it was hilarious.

These guys though... Complete garbage and I'm a fan of XTB.

Getting this guy in hand caused me to cancel the trailer I had finally decided to buy and I am on the fence with Springer now.

 

I get that Locke is shit, but the trailer really isn't bad. Watched the transformation video and broke nothing.

 

I mean I've seen 20+ posts about the tiny leg screw breaking. It's not something is want to mess with more than once.

 

Mine survived me transforming it to combined form and back then Bobby Skullface transforming it.

Has anyone heard from them? Going on a week of silence since I emailed them.

 

We are talking about a screw though. That can easily be replaced. Not much different that FT Sheridan.

 

Erm you might want to go look at it, its not just a screw that needs to be replaced, XTB is sending people whole new legs cause when the screw breaks, it takes a chunk of plastic with it.

 

I emailed over the weekend and heard from Keith today. My copy is fairly decent in terms of the QC but it still has issues. His email apologized for the issue and that they will "fix this with a new version." I don't know if I got a response because I emailed more recently (top of the list) or if I got lucky in the response lottery.

 

I've posted about this in the Menasor thread. Essentially the screw for some copies (but most definitely not even close to all) hadn't been tightened enough in the factory and so all the load bearing was being placed on the screw instead of the joint itself, hence the breakage. It can be identified and fixed by checking the joint and ensuring the screw is tightened before moving the joint.

 

I emailed them on the 21st and have still not heard a word out of them.
