Or they haven’t announced it yet. It’s happened before where they skip a number and then come back to it. The Gridman one is designated Gridman Universe 01. So I don’t think that’s it. The Extra Pod Grander extension unit doesn’t have an advertised DA number and is being released at same time as DA-73 so that could very well be DA-74. But could fall under so weird rule that if It Doesn’t have a crew member or change into a robot, it doesn’t get a number. Who knows.
I did a bunch of mine back in the day (original Dianauts, none of the remolds or KOs). The plastic is pretty forgiving. The hips and shoulders are simple ball-and-socket joints; try to work as close to the joint as you can and give a slight outward pressure while hinging the limb out of the ball. The ab crunch is a y-hinge with little nubs on the inside section. I ended up twisting that out sideways and the y would bend but not break.
Thank you. That's a great comfort. I only have the real ones. Any info on knees, elbows, or heads (on more recent ones)? I'm really surprised TakaraTomy hasn't released any with "gloves, boots, and helmets" varied from biceps, torsos, and thighs...
Be careful, I’ve tried separating the top and bottom of the torso on one dianaut, the plastic snapped. As such, I now have one that is glued together, so the abs don’t bend
I'm thinking we haven't seen it yet. On the lineup page of the diaclone site the container extension is in between DA-72 and DA-73; clearly unnumbered. I'm hoping its a totally new mold, but my gut says it's recolor... maybe the D-caliber variant of TriRambler? While I like what i'm seeing with NewGantor I can't help but feel that 65-85% of those kits are something I already own. Drago only has the new head mold and the updated hands. Ghoul head at least includes those new connection joints. I especially wish the kits came with more accessories to make their solo modes more unique. It be great if Drago came with something that fit onto its top joint that becomes the waist. For Ghoul I wish we got a few more cannon style pieces that would really help sell the "battleship" mode. A pair of something that goes into that new dual tail mount would be great as well. A unique cap piece for each tail (instead of the drill bit) would have been cool. EDIT: Maybe TT has realized they can sell see us separate accessory packs like with Battle Convoy. Which means that 74 is the accessory pack for 75/76!
Man, I hope I can swing that Gigantor redeco set, I missed it the first time due to only just getting into the Diaclone game with the Battle Convoy preorder. I have DA-67 on order, and I'll probably grab DA-58 too as I assume they'll still combine with this Gigantor?
I swap body parts on a regular base. Separate knee and elbow joints is easy, you just have to pop them off and put them back together. Sometimes they are a little bit more loose after that but you can fix the issue by gently applying pressure on the empty joint with tweezers. Separate shoulders and hips required a gently touch, do not apply too much pressure with your fingers while you hold the main body parts or you might break the pegs. About torso... I suggest using tweezers as a lever to separate the waist parts from the chest pins. Be VERY slow and gently because while you do that the part of the chest where the pins are will bend, and it might break if you do that too quickly. I never broke a dianaut doing that and i swapped parts on something like 25 separate dianauts, some even multiple times. Yet, even if you can swap parts multiple times, the pin of the ball joints on shoulders and hips are very delicate, and so is the chest joint. Some pics of my dianauts and a waruder pilot: Spoiler
Never too late to start yes it should. interchangability of the Waruders forces are greater than Diaclone Corps
I keep checking BBTS to see if they've listed the new Waruderos sets, but nothing yet. After seeing the shipping increase from Amazon Japan, getting domestic is almost more cost effective. Sometimes the pre-order price discount balances it out, but I've seen a lot of "close enough" prices to be okay with domestic. I still have DA-65 (30730y shipped) and DA-69 (12233y shipped) ordered through A_J mainly because the shipped prices are a good deal better than retail.
What I really hope for is more furnishings for bases. I'd love to have some multi-use tables/desks and bunks/hospital beds... Some divider walls for building rooms/cells would be nice too.
I agree, but i think we might need more some transport ships. Nothing that transforms, just something that could carry a big powered or some minor bots on another solar system, as if none of the alt modes seems to be meant to perform extra-systemic flying. Or, at least, a ship big enough to carry some troops. LET'S BRING THE WAR TO THEIR HOMEWORLD DAMMIT!
Da-75 and DA-76 listed on BBTS. $229.99 each. They require a non-refundable deposit on them, which I've never seen them do.
