For robot mode, it needs a proper 2-point pointy goatee chin instead of the blunted ends we got. How difficult would it be to swap his lower teeth? I haven't seen anyone disassemble that part.

It's hard to tell if the abs are built in. We need more disassembly pictures! That would be a huge cost to replace the whole chest. If it's replaceable, it would be easy to make one with only a 6-pack instead of an 8-pack. Also maybe 4 small panels to cover up the blue painted spots beside his abs. Maybe that could be built into the replacement abs.

I heard people complaining about the unpainted hands, but I'm also kinda bothered by their inaccuracy. In most scenes his finger tips are blunted, not pointed. He also has spherical joints, 1 joint from his knuckles. That kind of detail might be a bit goofy, and I admit the pointy fingers seem a bit more in style with that almost-kitschy scheming Satan aesthetic, but screen accuracy is nice too.

It might be nice to have some fillers for the gaps in his lower legs, where all the kibble and kibble attachment joints are/were. They really carved up huge holes in them.  


I imagine a real easy kit would be one that allows you to display both modes simultaneously. That would include a replacement planet ring that is more simple (without the extra bent bits and without the super big spikes), and connects with the 2 strips of equator spikes since his shoulder normally connects those. Ideally this would light up. and not fracture due to being a huge piece of clear plastic hanging from 4 connection points.

It would also have a new planet mouth plate in 2 colors to avoid any paint wear, and 12 gears. The planet mouth should also have a light. I think the plate under the teeth should be remolded as well, so that the outer surface is flush with the teeth so when they're closed it looks more continuous. ... Actually, I wonder if they could just make a smaller piece that just sits on top and is flush with the planet teeth. That would reduce costs for a kit that needs so many parts. as long as it doesn't fall out.

It's a lot of plastic, but I wonder if they could afford to have a replacement for the forearms in the back. It might be low priority, but for such an expensive figure, maybe it's worth being complete from all angles.

I had wanted wider planet teeth, but upon review it looks like that might be an off-model error. There are some scenes were the gaps between the teeth are non-existent, while in others they are much smaller. Luckily the plate would be getting replaced, AND in 2 parts, so it might be easier to make the inner part in 2 versions. ... Then again, the scenes with no gaps, you see additional details like another tiny spike on the underside of each tooth. You can see this pretty clearly in the scene when Megatron initially rejects Unicron's offer.

I also kinda want better planet tusks/pincers. Ones that are more oval in their cross-section at the base instead of circular, and come to more of a point on the tips instead of being so blunt.

Nah. It might be more difficult, but not impossible. At the very least a 3rd party company will do it. Look how often Transformers products are made utterly redundant. Given time, all things are possible. Too often Transformers products are made utterly redundant. They're even going to such lengths as redoing Masterpiece figures because perfection wasn't good enough. Aren't we up to 3 MP OPs?? I stopped paying attention.

Well, a 3rd party addon kit like I described would make these non-transformable, or at best part-forming, which is quite a compromise. It wouldn't make me purchase Unicron even if I could get it at the same original price. What I REALLY want is one that integrates the planet shell, but has a planet mode as nice as HasLab rather than Zeta's mess. I praise Zeta for their ingenuity, but not the results of that planet mode.

 

Perhaps the real Unicron was the enemies we made along the way.

 

Given the limited space some of us have available, many would be missing a wing of their house *with* it.  

That was ultimately the breaking point for me. I'm sure I could have swung the budget to make this work, but I literally had nowhere to put it in my house. And for me it'd have been a shame to invest in such a thing and have to put it in moth balls until a time came when I'd be somewhere that did.

Its not that bad, but what shot are you getting? Pfizer isn't that bad, my first one, sore arm. The second one... there were some body aches and mild chills. The Maderna can be harsher. Have not heard anything about J&J.

I'm hoping for the end of March myself. Missed the crowdfunding, so hoping to have my tax return by then.
