I can't get the leg missile launcher piece to connect at the arm pits. They don't reach far enough. What am I doing wrong? It's not a problem with the hands. I don't even have the arms rotated in and they still won't connect.

 

got my UM CC today and it's missing a damn thumb!!! checked in the packaging in hopes that maybe it just fell off in transit in the box, but no luck.  

so his right hand is "A" OKAY, but not his left. so for now until it gets sorted he's going to be left handed to use the gun and conceal his disfigurement.  

 

That sucks. But he's such a beast I think it's safe to say he CAN handle that right now.

 

Mine came out of nowhere, I completely forgot that I had him pre-ordered. Always nice to get a surprise package waiting for you after lunch. Scale wise he's a gigantic Legend class and perhaps more of a Voyager, and he is very chonky which makes him look at home even with Leader class Magnus + thigh extensions. Materials and detail work are suspiciously similar to Master Made figures, which is a big plus in my book.

 

Wow, IDW Maximus Ambus is an incredible figure at this scale! Top notch quality with tons of articulation, the ability to incorporate Minimus Ambus in robot mode, and the shear amount of weaponry is truly awesome. Definitely one of Iron Factory's best releases so far.

I added some panel lining to Minimus and the white parts of Maximus (I'll add black panel lining to the blue parts later) as well as Autobot symbols on the shoulders.

Worth the wait though, I'm really impressed by it.  




Can anyone help with getting the massive gun to attach to the truck mode though? I cannot work out what the instructions are trying to tell me. :s


I know Magnus isn't really a Katana kind of guy but I had my letter opener on my desk and couldn't resist trying it!

 

Rotate up the kneecaps on the back so they're upright like in robot mode; there should be two circular pegs that attach to the back of the gun.

yeah, i wish those were on hinges and could be flipped down if wanted.

i knew right away that this would go well against MM D-Rex before it was even released and that i had to get it just to compose epic battle scenes…

but DAMN, didn't think it would be this PERFECT a match!!!  

 

Seeing this great pic reminds me that I need to work on getting that Master Made Fortress Maximus... He would look perfect too right next to these two dudes.
