I got mine from OhMyPrimus, TFs Express is also good (both still have stock). BBTS' slow stocking has made me given up on getting anything new from them.

It's not just you. I've had mine on two legs since Overload came out and there's been no problems

Same. And I’ve moved him around, disassembled, reassembled and change arm poses a few times. Nothing appears to be loose, cracked or broken that I can tell.

I'm still not chancing it. I want Overload to remain intact and I've seen too many breakages reported, plus I've had other figures break recently, and I'd rather err on the side of caution. It's always someone else's problem until it finally becomes yours...usually when you least expect it.

The breakages on Overload have nothing to do with how he functions as a Devastator component, they’re just things that happen when you transform him a lot. You do you though.

I saw on pvp’s review that the wings on scavenger don’t come from once their attached. Has anyone had any luck getting them off or are they really on there? If they are stuck I might not tab them in all the way so I can take them off.

The right side wing comes off fairly easy; the left I can’t snap the forward tab into place but it holds in place.

My overload hip ratchet broke, so now the struggle is finding an overload that isn’t over priced.

You can find one at TFs Express. Is Overload VERY prone to breaking? If so, I might as well just pick another one up as backup, although I don't think I will have much issues with him in crawling pose, which I've tried replicating with this screenshot.

The joints mentioned in the following posts are relatively prone to breaking depending on how much you use them/transform the figure. The ratchet tooth is designed to rely on plastic flex for movement as opposed to using a spring to allow for the tooth to properly retract, so in the long term it’s something of an inevitability. You can do a few things to lessen the likelihood of it happening and there’s some stuff to be done after it breaks to make it work again but it’s definitely an issue.

I tried unscrewing the three screws to see what’s up inside (the two obvious ones and the one in the red whole) and it still won’t budge.

I've done the little unscrew the buttplate screw trick, however I'm not sure if it's enough. You reckon it's worth buying another one as backup?

I mean it never hurts to have a backup just in case. It’s not like its value will drop anytime soon anyway so one way or another it’s a worthwhile investment.

There are actually 4 screws, here’s a pic from when I disassembled mine.

I'm starting to wonder if it might not be such a bad idea to buy the boxed set Devastator now while he's still available and just put it away as a backup...

...why? CW Devastator was just reissued. It's super close to G1 animation style, imperfect, but close. Can't imagine they could do much more with the set, other than gap fillers and fixing Mixmaster's cab/foot in combined form. Maybe additional accessories...

I'm so confused when people ask for an SS86 Devastator, really, when we have one that's so G1 studio-ish it hurts. You're not the only one, though. Please don't think this last part is aimed solely at you. I'm just curious, in general. I'm not sure what people want out of SS86 when this one's, y'know, Devastator. *shrugs*

The main reason I see brought up is to have the Constructicons in better scale with WFC. Which, in my opinion, isn't good enough of a sole reason to warrant redoing them this soon, especially when the CW/UW set is as good as it is, but that's just me.

The scale isn't even that bad, really. Yes, admittedly, the Voyager Class figures themselves are taller than everyone else in the WFC line (somewhere between current Voyager and Leader Class), but the combined mode scale is accurate and he sizes up well with Omega Supreme. Perhaps POTP Predaking is bit too big (I don't think so, he was massive in the cartoon to go toe to toe with Sky Lynx), but he and Devastator are pretty on point. Even though Long Haul is a chonky beast, he still has some G1-esque looks to him, I'd say he's visually the weakest of them all, but forgivable considering.

I guess people just want to be unhappy. There's a KO for that.

I agree. I feel that a studio one being in the crazy accuracy and transformation level of recent Blurr, hot rod, Kup would be pretty amazing. And more in scale. The CW is nearly mp scale with all the bots being Voyager size.

But I also was never asking for an SS86 Devy it's just that this thread was bumped after so long ago I thought it was a new thread. And the name made it look like a new g1 Devy in SS86 if it was really a new thread as the Bay Devy had been completed a while back.

This is correct. Four screws. I've already made the hip ratchet upgrades, but that'll be coming soon. Overload's getting an overhaul. :)
