I think they said April yeah, might be later in the month. Yup, dates are all on here: グッズ|新幹線変形ロボ シンカリオンZ|プラレール|タカラトミー
That kinda annoys me since I ordered the first two today, if the third goes up later but comes at the same time they won't combine the orders like Amazon US sometimes does. If I wait I might miss out on getting one or both of the first two. Man, what stress, thank goodness I ordered some of those bath salts, still can't get over that's a thing.
Finished the paint details on Moderoid Ganbaruger the other day. The only previous Moderoid kits I've built were Raijin-Oh and Bakuryu-Oh. IMO, this kit is better than those two in terms of overall "sturdiness" and build quality, but still falls short when comparted to similar Bandai offerings. There's also far less parts-forming or parts swapping compared to the previous releases. And, unlike Raijin-Oh, I don't feel the optional parts for Ganbaruger are necessary. Except the fists, of course. It's impressive that each figure fully transforms between robot and animal modes, but King Elephant and Mach Eagle leave a lot to be desired. Especially in robot modes. All three have a few parts that need to be removed, added, or swapped. Mach Eagle is just disappointing in both modes, but looks a lot like the old DX. He also cannot stand, at all, in robot mode without an add on rod supporting him from the back. His articulation is pretty much limited to ball joint head, and rotating shoulders. Using a stand, you can utilized some minimal hip and knee movement. King Elephant at least looks good in animal mode. Articulation in robot mode is limited to ball joint head, swivel shoulders, outward shoulder flapping, ball joint hips, and ball jointed feet. Go Tiger is pretty damn good, all around. You can remove the whole lower body, and replace it with an optional section for a better looking tiger, but I find it unnecessary. Combining to the full Ganbaruger is pretty straightforward, with Mach Eagle doing the most transforming. The whole chest area feels quite delicate while you're moving stuff around, but feels solid once everything is assembled. I also like to use as few swappable parts as possible, so below is without any of the optional parts. The only things added are the larger fists, and the horns on the sides of the heads. And some comparisons:
That's some amazing paint work Also, I agree on the part about the optional lower half for the tiger being unnecessary
Hi everyone. I've never posted in this thread before so excuse any ignorance, but does anyone know of a guide (or some tells) that help identify original Brave releases from their Sonokong reissue counterparts? That would be loose figures, as the boxes are a pretty obvious tell! Any help would be greatly appreciated
Asking here again but does anybody here own STD Super Guardion? I'm trying to figure out how big his helmet is.
I've been messing with the Amakumi GGGG for about a week now. So far no QC issues and the paint job is pretty near perfect. All of the joints are supporting the weight so far, but the ab-crunch at certain angles can succumb to the weight of the wings which are just HUGE in person. The articulated fingers are wonderful but can pop off at the ball joints on occasion since the hinges are really tight. The fanning out of the wings is hot, and the protect shade gimmick is hot. Lots of little neat tricks to get the articulation the range it needs to get around such a bulky design. I kind of wish there was some more diecast for such an expensive piece. The standing piece they gave for the broken magnum is too short and the main arm for the stand sucks it doesn't connect to the damn base well at all. The height is also a bummer as he is about as tall as Sentinel's Dancouga.
Sorry to ask again, just wondering if anyone can help me tell original Japanese Brave figures from their Korean counterparts?
That thing is absolutely gorgeous! And what great photos too! Also to reply to shinobisgreensh, the only difference I know of is on J-decker where he has a korean yin yang icon instead of the brave police logo (the actual brave police logo is removed from the mold) otherwise the releases are largely identical as far as I know. I remember when I was getting into the line this youtuber would sometimes point out minor differences. https://www.youtube.com/user/victorysaber77 Sonokong tends to have worse sticker quality, but otherwise I'm not sure it's worth chasing down a particular version.
I want to say the sounds on some of them were different too. J-Decker for example I remember reading having different sirens could be wrong though.
