Wow, for once this was a good Pokémon livestream!

 

All I see are people talking about the shitty graphics, hasnt even been 10 minutes

 

The Sinnoh remakes look like shit. Looks like it was too hard for them to put anything new into it so they just 3Ded the originals. They were constantly calling it a authentic remake. I bet that none of the quality of life improvements they have made will be carried over into it, so we'll be saddled with a pointless and "nostalgic" clunker. They better at least have Fairy type but they have given me reason to doubt.

Legends looks new for the Pokémon series but pretty samey compared to other games on the Switch but at least it's something that might be fun to play. Open world looks empty.

Gotta say, I'm really not very interested in an open world Pokemon game. Also, what was up with them calling it an action RPG but the only battle interface they showed made it look like it was turn-based?

 

It's one of those things that I have seen people beg for but I always thought would turn out stupid. It only looks good in comparison to the "remakes."

 

Well I've been wanting to get Diamond again, but I was really hoping it would have a Sword and Shield style remake, with changeable clothing/hair... Yeah I know Shinnoh would be huge compared to base game Galar, but still.

Hopefully this will fill some gaps of missing Pokemon from Sword and Shield

Okay here are my thoughts:

Well Diamond and Pearl remakes at at last, i can deal with the graphic style choice though it's clear the missed the mark on what people were looking for, alo I hope its no so faithful to the original that they do not address the shortage of fire types in the game. Pokemon legend has my interest but i'll need more data .

 

I love the look of the Gen 4 remake. I want remakes of Gen 1 - 3 in the same art style lol despite having multiple remakes and games already made of those. But also if it’s a pure remake with quality of life tweeks and I assume future Gen pokemon will be included I don’t think it should be a $60 game.

 

It's sad that New Pokemon Snap has more of my interest than the Diamond and Pearl remakes.

 

So the 1 for 1 remake of Pearl is cool for new kids on the block, but I was hoping for something more upgraded like ORAS was for RS. I don't think we will be seeing Sinnohan Forms, Platinum updates or the like but who knows.

Legends excites me the most for what this might mean for future games.


EDIT: Random thoughts

We could see the return of riding pokemon like in gen 7 and Let's Go P/E for faster travel

With even Snap having a gimmick within Pokemon with the Illumina affect (glowing) could we possibly see new Feudal Forms for certain Pokemon in Legends? A mix of regional evolution and mega?

 

I'm so happy right now! I l9ved ever moment of the reveals! I look forward to buying all of the games!
Even tho I'll give them 0/10 for no Wooloo petting

Legends and Snap 2 look fun. I'll pick up a Sinnoh remake.

 

I wonder if it will still take a lifetime for Blissey to faint  

well I like the lil chibi style. Should be fun.

 

I'm not sure about the quality of life improvements thing. This game is outsourced and is pretty far from what they started with Sun and Moon.

 

Uhh...hopefully it won't be a drag. I'm still struggling to play through Ultra Moon because its just not a fun region for me, for some reason.

 

Legends looks absolutely amazing. Super stoked for it. I watched the trailer for the Diamond and Pearl remakes first and was disappointed that they weren't using the same graphics as Sword and Shield but then I watched the one for Legends and all was forgiven.
