I love Red Alert's leg transformation. So clever and interesting. Lots of translucent red plastic though so be careful with that if you get him. One of the more subdued cyber key gimmicks too

How'd you find those?

 

I picked them up off ebay!

 

I finally got a Powerlinx Optimus and swapped the silver faceplate out with my spare junker Prime and... Now this exists.




I've also worked out how the mechanism works for the moving faceplate. If anyone has a droopy or crooked faceplate you can push it back up with anything that fits in the space between the catcher for the super mode head and the base of Primes regular head's neck. No disassembly required.

It's creepy looking, right? I wanted to ask you if ML Megatron's face looks like he has a mouth plate in person, like the box art looks or does it read like a chin strap. His mouth is there above it but I just wondered if the chin strap throws it off? Your collection is impressive, still to this day good comparisons of Has vs Tak for the Unicron Trilogy are hard to find and you're creating a nice archive.

You have a point - ML Megatron almost looks like having a mouthplate. All versions of its head have a sculpted chin plate which covers most of its mouth, leaving an angry  

However, ML Megatron has a painted "chin plate", while all the others have the same color for face and chin plate, making it less evident.

 

Had to do some dusting, so while they are down, heres my full minicon collection to date, including prototypes, I left out the PCC and thrilling 30 ones though.

Goals! How long did it take you to get all of these? And where are they all from? I recognize the micron boosters but a lot of the recolored partner minicons are unfamiliar to me. (Been looking everywhere for the galaxy force trigger for my cyclonus collection)

 

Hahaha to be fair, ive gotta do that with a lot of them to get them back on the shelves!! I darent transform any of the Terradive moulds though, with their common breaking point issue and some of the rarer ones using clear plastic its a scary time!!

Some of these are from my childhood, so technically since Armada came out hahaha, but realistically its probably been a good 6-7 years of seriously collecting them. Most of them are Ebay, Mandarake or Yahoo Auctions!

Theres all sorts in here, Ive tried to sort of order them going down from Hasbro mainline (Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Universe, Movie, etc), Takara mainline, X Dimension, Kabaya, Micron booster, DVD/CD Exclusive, Japan Exclusive. A lot of the partner recolours though are either micron booster or the Hasbro Universe line!

 

It's a great collection! I had completely forgotten about the Armada Sideways variant.

That's awesome. The Energon display is great with that Galvatron. Are you sure you can live without an Energon Tidal Wave? ;-)
