Finally got my replacement part two months later! They sent me an entire assembly, which was nice. It was pretty dusty, makes me think they have piles of unassembled OSKO bits sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Easy to screw in, now my Ironhide is complete! Now if they could just dig up my Brawl parts...

Still loving this thing. Plus the 3D printed dotm guns I got for the regular MPM look way more proportional to this figure! Although I had to mod the handle. The other one's handle is broken so he can't hold it, but this was always my favorite of the two guns anyways.

 

Just wanted to share my new addition to my true scale mpm collection. Posted in the BA ironhide thread before I was given the link to this one since I couldn’t find it. Want to let everyone know who didn’t, that the black mamba mold has indeed FIXED the problems with the official. I was struggling with getting him or not since the official one I have is far too small, but from almost every video, people said that the shoulders had a fix but it didn’t work well and the shoulders would still move. Completely incorrect. They are all doing it wrong and spreading a lot of misinformation about this piece. There was one guy on YouTube with subtitles that showed the correct way of doing it, and this is the result. Shoulders are firm and do not come undone, no modding needed unlike the BA prime mod I made if you guys have seen that. While this mold does not fix his shoulder placement, or give a better knee bend, the bigger size and the shoulder fix and final orientation make him look incredible. I hope somehow the BA ironhide does come to pass and will 100% get it if it ever does, but this bmb is more than just a temporary stand in. If you track this guy down and do the shoulder transformation correctly, I think you all will be more than please with how he looks in the collection. I returned the official ratchet knowing a KO would be made for cheaper so until then he is also a pic of 4 out of the main 5.

think i know what video your talking about but i could never get mine to work. do you have any pics or tips to get them insecure? mine just doesnt seem to want to lock in no matter what position i try.

No, it was something I got off DMS on instagram. Timhead designs I think. It's 3D printed and the parts have all broken in some way, but he released it way before the DNA kit came out so it was cool to have at the time. There's a back mount too but that's broken. I painted them myself.

 

At this point that is what I'm assuming, and just ordered this figure. I had been waiting for the BA version. I think it is more likely another company makes another version of MPM Ironhide than BA's version is released at this point.

If a few years from now a better version comes out then I'll look into it, but that goes for pretty much every figure.

 

I waited for BA as well, but once it was clear that he was NOT coming back I moved on with my life (still sad about it but whaddya gonna do) and bought this figure, and despite not being perfect I have really loved it! The simple moving of the upper arm panels to the actual shoulders and the reinforcement of the arms and shoulder pads has made a world of difference. He also scales really well with BA Prime and the other MPM autobots.

 

The shoulder fix helps a lot, and I agree, he looks really good with BA Prime and crew!
And now that he’s properly tabbed he looks great with the HA ROTF cars!

I got mine at tf-direct they’re not as popular as other sites so they often have stock of older figures.

 

I still see it all over AliExpress, I don’t know if they ship to EU, but I would assume so. Other BMB offerings are starting to dry up like Brawl and Sideswipe, so the window for these may be closing. Pray you don’t need parts like I did...
