I feel like someone forgot art is subjective.

That is not at all a requirement for art. Art can be pretty, sure, but the world we live in isn't always beautiful and art should reflect that, too. Plus "pretty" is extremely subjective.
Wasn't expecting an argument about Jackson Pollock in a thread about new Transformers cartoons, but here we are, apparently.

If this turns out good, then Nickelodeon will finally have a good show on their channel.

You're right; art does not need my permission to be art. However, art, in and of itself, has objective standards. You see, everything has a certain form, a certain immutable "basic" version of itself that appears in our minds. This is basic Aristotelian philosophy; his philosophy of the Forms. Art, thusly, has such a Form, which cannot change based on the times or on our own personal preferences. Art must have an objective definition; nothing is truly subjective.

My son would fight you about this, but then he's four so I'm not sure if you're willing to battle him for Zuma's honor.

I mean, that makes sense coming from the guy who's definition of art is "whatever I like."

It could be a good thing. A more childlike drawing on Nick to captivate children who nowadays only think of Marvel
BotBots can hold the partnership with Netflix and perhaps, in 2022, come something good. The next big thing after War For Cybertron
    High hopes!
Not being a ThunderCats Roar like, I will watch

:sly2:  Not true lol. I wouldn't exactly call the Bay movies, for example, art. They're these hulking massive piles of scrap metal coiled together in a mess of robot in such a way that many might deem ugly. They do not reflect the true, the good and the beautiful.

However, I do think they're cool.

at first i just saw the producers but now i read that it's being developed by the person who who developed rtmnt so maybe it will actually be like that, i never watched it so idk if the story was good but i've seen bits and pieces and i'd absolutely love a tf series with that level of 2d animation. i think people are reading too much into the "comedy" part of "action-comedy", most kids shows are even bw and animated are very much action-comedies and are probably the best tf shows

That and it being on Nick.

But as others have said, the freakout is nothing we haven't seen a million times before with every new show that gets announced.

You'd think they'd have figured it out by now, but nope.

I can’t imagine this being good. Not how we want it to be.

Nickelodeon hasn’t been good for many years now, I used to love watching it during the 90s.

"It hasn't been good since I was a kid..." they said without a hint of irony or self-awarness.

If you were watching Nick in the 90s, you aren't in it's current demo so they really don't care what *you* want.

I love how there is people already moaning and crying over a show we haven't seen a single design or frame or scene from and wont until late 2022 or even 2023.

Well done, already writing it off and making up scenarios to get mad over it and justify being a grumpy bore. Because how dare we get something new and aimed at the primary audience....kids. Like has Beast Wars or Animated or even Rescue Bot not proven that you should give these things a chance and they usually turn out great.

We already know how bad Thundercats Roar and modern She-Ra are.

Nobody trusts new cartoons based on old cartoons to treat the franchise right.

I want a good entertaining cartoon so I should be in the current demographics. But you’re right, I’m not and they don’t care what I want. So no good entertaining cartoon will be made.

It's called an educated guess. I look forward to your apologetics when this thing stumbles out the door.
