I'd be down for a Transformers RPG

 

What's a "digital" game exactly? It sounds like some Boomer way to say video game but I doubt that's the case.

 

No physical release, I'd assume.

 

Um that Hiss Tank \"Transformer\"

 

Because its being developed by Wizards of the Coast I assume it's either an RPG or a CCG. I'm leaning towards CCG because there's more money in that product.

As a guy that collected the recent transformers tcg this pisses me off.
wizards makes Mtg the most popular and successful tcg on the planet.
if this is a transformers tcg digital game then why cancel the actual card game.
 

 

Different sales opportunities. The TCG kinda tanked saleswise, especially after C19. If they make it a cheap Hearthstone kinda game, it may find a broader audience and still live on a little longer

 

Did you try to play the tcg.
It won’t work like hearthstone. The mechanics are too different.

 

WotC does digital games too? I thought they only did RPGs and card games. 

 

Played the TCG, never played Hearthstone though. But you can design an online card game around the mechanics of any one you want, I'm thinking that's what this may be. Not Hearthstone exactly just in concept. Maybe MtG: Arena would've been more fitting

 

I just hope the games are good.

 

If it was basically an official version of Tabletop Player or Octagon running the TF TCG, with match-making, tournaments, A.I. single player support, some extra bells & whistles thrown in, etc... I’d be stoked.

It probably won’t be that tho :/

 

Magic: The Gathering Arena is a huge part of Hasbro's digital efforts. They put a lot of money into making that work, and it's a revenue driver. I think this is probably a new game with tabletop mechanics rather than a port of the cancelled game, but either are possible.

I was very sad when they killed the card game. If they want to try reviving that as a video game instead I guess that's the next best thing. The card game was genuinely an amazingly good game. I'd take it.

Please no. 1.) Nobody should touch Metal Gear ever again except Bluepoint or Platinum and 2.) Mixing Metal Gear with any other military franchise would be missing the point of Metal Gear. Metal Gear would only serve as a critique of anything it was paired up with.
